The successor to the pair of 750D and 760D DSLRs, unveiled to the public at the dawn of 2017, blurs the fine line between entry-level interchangeable lens cameras and the mid-range segment, with one foot on the amateur stage and the other on the enthusiast stage. The camera is assigned the role of the most affordable solution in the lineup of the Japanese brand with proprietary autofocus technology Dual Pixel CMOS AF.

In general, the autofocus system has 45 focus points. The cropped Canon EOS 800D kit 18-55 sensor is inherited from previous generations, but the updated DIGIC 7 image processor has raised its ISO sensitivity to new heights (100-25600 ISO or up to 51200 in extended mode). In the reporter genre of photography, you should count on the camera's rate of fire at 6 fps. In addition to the optical viewfinder, the DSLR is equipped with an all-axis swivel display that supports touch input. The kit comes with a kit lens with a universal set of focal lengths 18-55 mm.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Canon EOS 800D 18-55 is a highly regarded DSLR camera, especially for amateur photographers. It features a modern sensor that delivers excellent image quality with a resolution of 6000x4000 pixels, making it suitable for viewing on 4K displays. The camera's autofocus system is fast and reliable, with 45 focus points, and it performs well in both viewfinder and Live View modes. Users appreciate the high sensitivity ISO capabilities, allowing for quality shots even at ISO 3200 and 6400, although for large prints, ISO 1600 is recommended. The camera's ergonomic design and touch screen enhance user experience, while the educational menu interface is beneficial for beginners. However, it lacks true sensor stabilization and uses an older USB 2.0 for data transfer. Despite these minor drawbacks, the camera is praised for its video recording capabilities at 1920x1080 at 50 fps and the ability to shoot in RAW format, allowing for post-processing flexibility. Overall, the Canon EOS 800D is considered a great value for its price, offering features typically found in more expensive models.

Personally, in my opinion, the Canon EOS 800D is, dare I say, a WONDERFUL DSLR camera! Even with the kit (standard) lens, you can take good photos, provided there's good lighting, since its aperture leaves much to be desired, to put it mildly, which is why you have to increase ISO settings up to 1600, which can lead to noise... Therefore, I recommend using the kit lens to determine what format photos you will be shooting and purchase a prime lens, for example, I will purchase the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM, a budget-friendly yet high-quality portrait lens for its price, with very beautiful bokeh and excellent aperture. P.S. Surprisingly, YouTube helped me choose my first DSLR, and specifically, thanks to a video, I understood what I needed and which brand to buy, just search on YouTube: HOW a Camera for 10k and 300k Differs!! HOW TO CHOOSE A CAMERA!!
Ergonomic, high-quality, 45 focus points for the money - it's just the same gift: 3
As such, I did not find it, but be prepared to buy another lens with a fixed focal length specifically for your tasks.

great model, love it

I was planning to buy a really good amateur DSLR, and a friend had an extra, almost new Canon 18-135mm lens left over from his Canon. The lens is regular, a kit one, you can't get much for it, so we agreed that I would swap my laptop for his lens. I was going to update my laptop anyway, and you can't get a real price for an old laptop, just like you can't for a kit used lens. Everything hinged on buying this camera as a "body-only," so it ended up costing me much less than it would have been for such a camera with the same 18-135mm kit lens. Profit ))
This is the best camera I've ever held in my hands. I'm an amateur, not a pro, and my only DSLR was a Canon 450D, bought seven years ago and stolen along with my bag this spring. So, there is just a gap between these two cameras. Was it possible to shoot at twilight with the 450D, at ISO 1600-3200? No, there was a lot of noise in the pictures. Immediately, quite high-quality shots are obtained. With the previous Live View camera, this was more of an auxiliary mode; it couldn’t even be turned on for a long time, and it was quite slow. Here you don’t have to use the viewfinder at all. The large rotary and, most importantly, touch screen is just a bomb. Autofocus is also as different as heaven and earth, the 450D missed on children, but here you can catch birds in flight))) This device can also shoot high-quality FHD video. At 50 fps the picture is very good and looks wonderful on a large TV. You can also add a good capacious lithium-ion battery to the asset, which is enough for 500 or more frames.
With the lens, the camera weighs more than a kilogram, and you can already feel it. And thanks to the long lens, the camera takes up a lot of space. And back in 2017, it would be possible to record 4K video, but this is still an amateur model, its rank does not allow it
good model, liked it.

For a long time I wanted to buy a DSLR, but I managed to save up money for this business only now. I didn’t see the point in taking something semi-professional, the price of those models is high, and the bonuses received for this price are not that significant. Therefore, I settled on this camera, which is considered the top ... among low-cost Canon DSLRs.
This seemingly budget camera has a modern sensor, which is used in more expensive mid-range models. It delivers great 6000x4000 pixel footage that I can then enjoy viewing on my new monitor and 4K TV. The sensor is so sensitive, and the programs and electronics processing its signals are so good that you can safely use the high sensitivity modes of ISO 3200 and even 6400, the noise is still moderate. But for large prints, and I like to print such posters, it's better to limit yourself to ISO 1600. The camera's autofocus is fast, including not only when shooting through the viewfinder, but also in Live View mode. The white balance is also automatically worked out well. The same can be said about auto exposure. In short, for a beginner, the camera is great. And even if its advanced automation messes up somewhere, a lot can be fixed if you save pictures not only in JEEPegs, but also in the ROW format. You don't have to be a genius to fix moderate overexposure or minor white balance imperfections in Adobe Lightroom. It also shoots decent video quality, the resolution of 1920x1080 at 50 fps looks very nice.
There is no true sensor stabilization in the camera (electronic stabilization when shooting video is not that), but it is still a budget model. An old USB 2.0 is used to transfer pictures to a PC, and if there are a lot of pictures, it can take a long time.
