Electronic stabilization works only during video shooting.

The second generation of an affordable full frame from Canon, "pumped" in comparison with its predecessor in many aspects. An updated 26-megapixel matrix with a sensitivity range from 100 to 40,000 ISO units is installed at the heart of the DSLR (expandable to 50-102400 by software). The camera was “brought up” with the proprietary Dual Pixel AF autofocus system, which helps to smoothly shift focus when shooting video (at a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels) and quickly focuses when “shooting” photos in Live View.

At the same time, a 3-inch touch screen is used for sighting — for the first time among the brand's full-frame DSLRs, it has a degree of freedom in several axes. The set of wireless communications on board the Canon EOS 6D Mark II body is represented by an NFC, as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS modules. The prefix "body" in the name of the camera makes it clear that the model is sold in the form of a "naked carcass", i.e. without a complete lens.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Canon EOS 6D Mark II kit 24-105 is a highly regarded full-frame DSLR camera, praised for its 26MP full-frame sensor that delivers high-quality, detailed images even at high ISO levels. Users appreciate its fast and accurate autofocus, both through the viewfinder and the rotatable touch screen, which enhances usability. The camera supports continuous shooting at 6.5 fps and records Full HD video with electronic stabilization. It features a robust build with dust and moisture protection, making it durable for various shooting conditions. However, some users note the lack of 4K video and a second memory card slot as drawbacks. Despite its hefty weight and price, it is considered a great choice for advanced amateurs and professionals seeking a reliable and versatile camera.

The camera has passed a serious test of time and professional work.

I bought this beast in December 2018, and this is my first review here. I'm from Ukraine, and in early April 2022, I had to flee from the war in the Donetsk region. I wandered through various places in Europe until I ended up in Montenegro, thanks to a friend from Makiivka, who had fled from Donetsk in autumn 2014 and established a small business in Montenegro that provides him with a decent life. He took me in initially and suggested I try working as a beach photographer after seeing me "playing" out of boredom with the camera that I had brought with me in a case with lenses. He introduced me to the right people, got me a permit, and I started working. The first month, I was getting used to the situation, studying European tastes, but then things gradually picked up. Now, I'm also doing portrait shoots and shoots in home interiors, which Montenegrins love. I can now say life is getting back on track. Thanks to my Canon. It has shown itself wonderfully in harsh conditions. Before the 2022 war, I traveled with it in the Carpathians, on the Black and Azov Seas, and in Poland. I took a lot of varied shots. Before the war, the usage was about 150,000-160,000 shots. Now I'm approaching 250,000. Everything's functioning smoothly. On October 22, on the advice of a casual acquaintance, a professional photographer, I submitted the camera to a specialized Canon service center (they have them here) for an inspection. They disassembled it, cleaned the sensor, removed some dust from the shutter, tested all circuits, replaced something in the card slot, lubricated it, and returned it with a rating of "excellent".
Hardy, stable in work. The best in its class in terms of price and quality. Despite the full matrix, it is compact, which is very convenient. Well, a SLR is a SLR!
lacks a second memory card slot
good model, liked it

An expensive thing is expensive. If you don’t know how to use all the possibilities, then it makes no sense to take, for amateurs, any other option is enough, which costs 2-3 times cheaper, and you will get exactly the same photos on autofocus.
The very first and coolest thing is the full frame, the full-size matrix is on top. The screen rotates at full frame, which they did not have before. There is electronic video stabilization, it works very well. The control itself is very convenient and intuitive, two wheels are at hand and a joystick, everything is at hand, plus a swivel screen that you can set as you like. Dust / water protection is present, by the way, nowhere in the descriptions of this. but already in the instructions itself you can find ... built-in JPS, a pretty handy thing then look for a photo at the place of shooting. The battery is simply not killed, it lasts for a long time, in principle, if you take a whole day of shooting, then it is almost impossible to plant it. When shooting a video, the viewfinder works very well, and you can use the touch screen to help focus on a particular object.
Price, I think it should cost a little less. For such money should already be at least 4k quality. unfortunately it is not here. Sometimes, with autofocus, the camera really gives out just sad pictures, it’s clear that this camera is intended for people who understand something about this technique, but there are almost half of the people who just take this camera and take pictures like a soap dish, using no other modes except auto. .. Slow wi-fi, well, if you throw off quite a lot of photos and videos, it will take not 10 minutes, but a couple of hours ... the card holder is very weak, there is a chance of losing the card ...

Full frame for those who grew out of the crop

My first DSLR was also from Canon. Model 450D by the standards of today is not enough stars from the sky, and for its time it was a budget model. However, she opened the world of really real photography for me. I am not an amateur, I do not belong to the category of professionals, but I travel a lot around our country and Europe and the moments that I would like to save are quite common. My 450D turns 10 next year, which means it's time to take the next step and get a full-frame DSLR.
A full frame sensor is good for several reasons. First, it is high true resolution. Yes, I have a thirty-inch 4K monitor and a 55-inch Ultra HD TV, I also have photos to show guests. Secondly, it is the ability to shoot at high ISO values. Even at ISO 3200, the pictures are of sufficient quality for both viewing and printing. Thirdly, this is the ability to shoot normally with short-focus lenses, I bought an EF16-35mm f / 4L IS USM and use it with great pleasure. In addition, the camera has fast and accurate focusing, which can be performed not through the viewfinder, but through the excellent rotary display in LiveView mode. I was also impressed by my favorite burst shooting, on this camera its speed is 6.5 frames per second, and 21 frames of RAW format or 150 (!) JPEGs are placed in the buffer. Shoots full HD video at 50 fps. There is a full spectrum of all wireless technologies, there are WIFI, Bluetooth, NFC.
The stabilization in the camera is purely electronic and only works when shooting video. Weight and dimensions are appropriate. The carcass itself without a lens weighs under 800 gr.

Video reviews

There are entry-level models even in the major league of cameras. For example, in Canon's portfolio, this is the Canon EOS 6D Mark II full-frame DSLR, released to replace the first "six" in the height of summer 2017.

Autofocus Dual Pixel AF

The dust- and moisture-proof body of the camera hides a 26 MP image sensor with physical dimensions of 24x36 mm in the depths. The standard sensitivity range of the sensor is measured in the range from 100 to 40,000 ISO units, and it can be extended by software to ISO 50-102400. It is also noteworthy that the matrix supports Dual Pixel AF technology, which ensures quick focus in LiveView photography mode (when zooming in on the screen) and smooth focus shifting when recording video. Filming video on the camera is made in FullHD resolution with a frame rate of 50/60 fps. The operator has access to a port for connecting an external microphone, but there is no headphone jack on board the camera.

Swivel screen

For the first time among colleagues in Canon's full-frame DSLR shop, the model has acquired a touch screen on a swivel joint. Tapping on it sets the focus point, scrolls through the photos in the gallery, opens quick access to the shooting settings. The camera is equipped with an optical viewfinder with a frame coverage of 98% and a magnification of 0.71x.

Reason for envy

The DSLR develops a rate of fire with tracking autofocus up to 6.5 fps. The full-frame additional assets have an information screen on the upper end and a full set of wireless communications: in addition to GPS and Wi-Fi, the camera was equipped with Bluetooth and NFC modules. Finally, the model will please with long battery life — on a single charge of a standard LP-E6N battery, you can "click" up to 1200 shots. Mirrorless full frames can only envy the Canon EOS 6D Mark II in terms of battery life.
