A full-sized, well-equipped and reliable gaming motherboard from Asus that stands out from the rest of the Prime series. Positioned as a top mid-range product with features that outperform most Prime motherboards. Therefore, it is quite capable of becoming a reliable foundation for a mid-to-high-end gaming or work system with a multi-core processor and a fairly powerful GeForce RTX 3070-level video card.

The board is based on the top Intel Z790 chipset of 2022 and is equipped with an Intel LGA 1700 socket suitable for installing processors Intel Core Alder Lake and Raptor Lake. Instead of the usual DDR4 RAM, it relies on DDR5-7200 RAM, which has much higher bandwidth than most DDR4 sticks. Plus, it supports several proprietary overclocking tools like AI Cooling II, XMP 3.0, and Asus' AEMP II memory acceleration system.

In addition, the board layout provides three M.2 ports for installing high-speed NVMe SSDs and 4 SATA 3 slots for more traditional HDDs and SSDs. A digital 11-phase power system is responsible for powering all elements of the system, PCI-E slots are reinforced with reinforced fiber, critical areas are equipped with additional cooling. The gigabit network controller from Realtek is responsible for processing network traffic. Additionally, the installation of LED strips and water cooling for the CPU is supported.
