The second revision of an affordable 240 GB SATA 3 SSD based on a low-cost controller from Silicon Motion and 64-layer flash memory from SanDisk (a joint venture between Toshiba and WD). It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, designed to be used as a system disk in new stationary or mobile systems. Can be used to upgrade existing personal home / office computers or simple entry-level workstations (with a low load on the disk subsystem).
It compares favorably with affordable cost, energy efficiency and decent read / write speeds (540/465 MB / s). The basis of the WD Green SSD WDS240G2G0A SSD was the combination of the SM2258XT bufferless controller (a simplified version of SM2258) with high-quality 3D TLC NAND flash memory. Supported by SLC-caching write buffer volume of about 6 GB. Decent performance indicators combined with low access latency allow you to achieve ultra-fast loading of the operating system and resource-intensive applications. Game lovers will also like the drive — impressively fast level / map loading or imperceptible dynamic loading of parts of the open game world will not leave indifferent most low-cost-conscious gamers. Price, quality, volume, everything is good, and I realized that most people who struggle with setup just incorrectly install the system without disabling indexing, pagefile, and everything else that needs to be turned off. I've been using it for over a year, and I don't turn on the computer on principle for months. Everything is good so far. There are no disadvantages as such, but a setup guide for Windows or Linux should be included. use WD WDS120G2G0A month or more i recommend it should buy |
