Model overview based on user reviews
The Intel Xeon 5000 Sequence is a series of processors designed for servers and workstations, with some models suitable for dual processor systems. Although the series is considered morally outdated, it remains a viable option for those on a budget. A user shared their experience with the Xeon X5450, highlighting its high power consumption but also noting that the temperature stays below 40° with a stock cooler. The processor has been reliable for over a year, providing a solid and budget-friendly PC setup for various tasks like gaming, internet surfing, and video editing. Despite lacking a third-level cache and having an older architecture, it offers sufficient performance for home use.
Pros
Cons
This proc has been running for a year now. Unfortunately, it's from the X series, meaning high power consumption (120w), but the interesting thing is that the temperature doesn't rise above 40° with the stock cooler with a copper core, and I haven't done any overclocking - I'm as happy as a clam. I think I won't bother for another 5 years at least. Seven years ago, when I built this PC, a friend said that a computer starts with the motherboard and suggested the ASUS P5Q. Thanks to it, I now have a solid and very budget-friendly PC without investing a lot of money. Xeon X5450 ($30) + 4(2+2) GB of RAM ($20) + ASUS Strix GTX950 ($180) minus $70 for the old GTX550ti card, and all in all, for $160, you get a good computer for everything. What can you buy for $160 that would be better than this setup? Only a budget tablet. Yes, it's morally outdated and lags behind the i5 only because it doesn't have a third-level cache and has an outdated core architecture, but for home use - gaming, surfing the internet, working, streaming, recording, and editing videos - it's enough. If there is no money, this is the best option. It's just that it's morally outdated. use Intel Xeon 5000 Sequence month or more i recommend it should buy |
