the 13th iteration of the popular Intel Core i5 processor series for the Intel LGA 1700 platform codenamed Raptor Lake. They belong to the mid-price range, providing a moderate level of performance compared to the junior Core i3 series models and are slightly inferior in power to the senior Core i7. Positioned by the manufacturer as a versatile solution that covers a wide range of users. They combine modern hybrid architecture and an affordable price, making them a popular choice among gamers and enthusiasts building a system with a discrete graphics card.
In games, they confidently handle any modern projects, especially when paired with mid-level graphics cards such as the RTX 3060/4060/5060/5070 or GPUs of a similar level from Radeon. They are also perfectly suited for working on moderately complex projects in Photoshop, After Effects, Cubase, Nuendo, and other professional-oriented software packages. As with most of Intel's latest generation solutions, a key feature is the hybrid core structure, which helps to optimize overall power consumption and performance depending on the current load. The processor is equipped with a total of 10 cores, 6 of which are in the Performance category, while the remaining 4 energy-efficient cores are mainly engaged in tasks with low load (documents, email, web surfing, video viewing, etc.). With the support of Hyper-Threading technology, the total number of processing threads reaches 16. The performance cores operate at a base frequency of 2.5 GHz and can accelerate up to 4.6 GHz, while E-cores operate in a narrower frequency range from 1.8 to 3.3 GHz. Support for two types of RAM, DDR4 and DDR5, is provided.

This processor is still relevant! I bought it in the summer of '24, and it was a couple of thousand cheaper than its successor 14600k at the time, so I got it. In terms of performance, it's better than the Ryzen 7700.
