I bought a tripod for the first time. So it's quite possible that everything I've written here is complete nonsense. However, I am more than sure that this model is suitable not only for a beginner like me but also for a fairly advanced photographer. Although, a true professional might even disdain to pick it up :) In general, my conclusion is that for a beginner photographer, such a purchase would be very appropriate. Affordable price. Good build quality. Sizes can be easily adjusted within wide limits, with the difference between fully folded and fully unfolded exceeding one meter. Very convenient to use, it unfolds and folds without any problems. At the same time, it is very well assembled using good materials. It can be noted that it is intended for cameras weighing no more than three kg. However, in most cases, this is more than sufficient. I guess that's all I can mention in terms of drawbacks. Smooth rise
The model is released in the traditional "three-legged" layout and is in contact with the ground with rubberized supports. The tripod's telescopic legs extend in two steps. Also, the central rod rises smoothly in height — its “lifting” without jerks will come in handy in the video shooting mode. The best stability of the structure under load is achieved thanks to the spacers between the legs of the tripod and the central column.
3D head
The maximum load capacity of the Hama Star 61 is 3 kg. This is the weight of a rather big DSLR with wound optics and an external flash. The 3D tripod head gives you more freedom of action — the camera on it can turn, tilt back and forth or side to side. In order not to overwhelm the horizon, a level was built into the “head” (a sealed flask with liquid and an air bubble).

The height of the camera mounted on a tripod above the floor level is subject to change in a wide range from 60 to 153 cm. When folded, the model, frankly speaking, is too big. And that's her only complaint. The tripod is thought out to the smallest detail and shows itself in work for a solid "five".
