Model overview based on user reviews
The TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wi-Fi adapter is praised for its affordable price and strong signal strength, making it a reliable choice for users needing a stable connection through walls. Installation is straightforward, with drivers installing automatically, and the adapter performs well for single-device use, such as working on a desktop PC. However, it lacks MU-MIMO technology, which means it may struggle with multiple devices simultaneously, leading to lag during activities like online gaming if another device streams videos. Additionally, the bright operation indicator can be distracting. Overall, it's a great option for single-user environments or non-intensive internet activities, but not ideal for households with multiple simultaneous internet users.

Super model, the signal through the wall is excellent, the speed is excellent. Plug and play, without firewood it got up perfectly, although there is a disk in the kit. Did the job, definitely recommend Signal strength, reasonable price, reliability No |

Installation was hassle-free, drivers installed automatically, and the connection was good – it picked up the signal well through the wall and stayed stable.
Everything was fine until I started an online game while another device (a tablet) played online videos. Then, severe lag and sky-high ping emerged. At first, I couldn't figure out what was happening, but once the video on the tablet was paused, everything returned to normal. The issue was that this adapter lacked MU-MIMO technology – multi-user multiple input, multiple output. Without it, using the internet on two devices fully is inconvenient. So, I decided to return it and get another one with MU-MIMO, and the problem was immediately solved. Another downside is the operation indicator is too bright – if it's in your line of sight, it'll be irritating in the evening. It’s better to cover it up.
The takeaway is – if you need an adapter to game on one device while doing something else on others, this one is not suitable. It’s my fault for not researching beforehand; I returned the device on the second day of use.
Overall, apart from this, there are no complaints. It’s perfect for work but only suitable for gaming if no one else uses the internet at home.
