High-performance and functional dual-band wireless router (AC1900 class), fully supporting the Wi-Fi 5 standard and equipped with four antennas for extremely high-quality coverage. The manufacturer positions it as a mid-range product for establishing a high-speed Wi-Fi infrastructure in one/two/three-room apartments, small homes, or small offices (up to 4 stationary PCs). The high-speed WAN port with Gigabit Ethernet standard will help realize the potential of a gigabit connection to the provider's cable network.
Besides its router functions, the TP-LINK Archer C80 wireless router can also act as an access point. Thanks to the powerful hardware platform based on a Mediatek processor and support for MIMO 3x3 multi-threaded data transmission technology, it offers high theoretical data transfer speeds. In the 2.4 GHz band, it reaches 600 Mbps, while at 5 GHz it can reach up to 1300 Mbps. Four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports allow for the creation of a small and fast local network with a bandwidth of up to 1 Gbps. Proper support for VPN traffic processing and IPTV stream routing is provided. Full operation of current security protocols and traffic encryption is ensured. Easy to set up initially using a smartphone.

I have been using the TP-LINK Archer C80 router for several months and can share my impressions. It's quite a powerful device that handles all the tasks I set for it. It is well-suited for regular home use, working with multiple devices, and streaming videos in HD/4K quality. However, for those who want a futureproof solution or maximum speed at all distances, it would be better to consider models with Wi-Fi 6 support. Speed and Stability The Archer C80 supports the Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac standard, and in practice, I received a very stable connection over long distances in the house. Data streams are not interrupted, even when I transfer large files or watch 4K video. Convenient Setup Setting up the router takes a few minutes thanks to the intuitive interface. I connected it through the TP-Link Tether app, which allows for quick parameter adjustments without the need for a PC. Coverage Thanks to four antennas, the network coverage over a large area of 2-3 rooms is stable, which is important to me because I have a multi-room apartment. Multiple Devices The Archer C80 effectively works with multiple devices simultaneously. I have several smartphones, laptops, and even a smart TV connected, and the router does not fail even when all devices are actively using the Internet. Price For this level of features, it's one of the best options at a reasonable price. Not the highest speed at 5 GHz Although the router generally performs well, the speed at the 5 GHz frequency does not always meet the stated values, especially at a distance of more than 5-7 meters from the router. This can be an issue for large homes or offices. Lack of Wi-Fi 6 support While the router supports the Wi-Fi 5 standard, it does not have Wi-Fi 6 support, making it less future-proof for users planning to upgrade their devices to new standards. Design The design may seem a bit bulky and not very aesthetic for those who strive for more stylish and compact devices. Its large antennas take up a lot of space on a shelf or desk. Functional limitations for more advanced users For more technically savvy users, the lack of additional settings, such as more detailed QoS (Quality of Service) management, VPN, or other advanced features, may be a limitation. ![]() |
Great router for the money. 5 GHz gives excellent speed. The router itself gives excellent coverage throughout the apartment. Excellent router control panel, over the air update, flexible settings. In general, I recommend to buy, very satisfied. Speed, coverage, control panel, customization flexibility, price Not found. ![]() |
a chic router for this money, before that there was TP Link 841, the speed of heaven and earth in comparison with the old one, at 5 GHz it pumps more than 200 MB through the air. I've never seen numbers above 50-60 before. The software is much nicer and more convenient than it was in the old router. Satisfied, I recommend Speed, coverage Not found yet ![]() |
