in 5 years, this is already my 3rd one. The first was for 2TB, a year later I bought one for 4TB, and now I will need to get two more with 6TB. I bought it for a DVR on the advice of an IT specialist friend. It turned out to be a good choice, 2 cameras are connected to it, they film the area around the house and record without stopping, they work uninterruptedly. In parallel with the recording, you can safely watch the footage; the performance is enough so that the playback does not freeze. I deliberately did not take a disk with a spindle rotation speed of 7200 rpm, I took one with a spindle speed of 5400. Such a disk is noticeably quieter, heats up less, and accordingly, logically, it should work longer.
