Proprietary platform
The smartphone is built on the eight-core Exynos 1580 processor, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal drive. There’s no support for memory cards. The hardware handles everyday tasks confidently but isn’t ideal for resource-intensive games. On the plus side, Samsung’s proprietary UI on the Galaxy A56 includes AI-powered features—intelligent on-screen search, enhanced photo editing tools, and other useful capabilities.
Good cameras
The front is dominated by a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2340x1080 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. A cutout at the top houses a 12 MP selfie camera. The main camera setup includes a 50 MP sensor with optical stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide module, and a 5 MP macro lens. According to DxOMark testing, the smartphone scored 113 points, which is considered a solid result.
Extended support cycle
The body is protected against water and dust to the IP67 standard. Inside is a 5000 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging, which can fully recharge the phone in about 68 minutes. However, a power adapter is not included. A key advantage of the model is its extended update policy—up to 6 years of software support and security patches.

Before this, I had the Google Pixel 4a 5G, and I really liked the Samsung interface. It's strange that the creators of Android couldn't make their own OS as good as what Samsung did. Everything is smartly and ergonomically designed, including the in-screen fingerprint scanner - it works really well and is incredibly convenient.
Of course, it's not fair to compare them, since this Samsung is much newer than the Pixel I had before, but the camera is noticeably better and captures with more detail.
For everyday use and content viewing, 8GB of RAM is more than enough; everything runs smoothly. I haven't tested it in games, but I assume for those who love gaming, it's better to get the 12GB version; it definitely won't hurt to have it.
Charging from 5% to 100% takes 1 hour and 15 minutes with a 45W charger.
The display is pleasant, vibrant, and bright, and combined with good speakers, consuming content brings some very satisfying feelings.
During all the time I've used it, there have been no glitches, bugs, freezes, or spontaneous reboots. Updates come quickly; at the time of writing this review, it runs on Android 16 and One UI: 8.0. I'm also pleased with the built-in call recording feature (though it might not be available in all regions, according to YouTube reviews).
I would also recommend installing the Galaxy Enhance-X app (downloadable from Samsung's standard Store app), a useful and completely free tool.
