Extremely powerful top-end 24-core processor, which is the flagship of the new line of Intel Raptor Lake desktop processors. The device contains a total of 24 computing cores and supports 32 instruction streams. Like the 2021 Alder Lake models, it uses a hybrid structure consisting of powerful P-cores and energy-efficient E-cores, which are activated depending on the type and level of load.

The base frequency of the P-cores is 3.0 GHz, all together at the same time they can automatically overclock to 5.4 GHz. Thanks to the support of Thermal Velocity Boost technology, the clock speed of one or more cores can briefly rise to 5.8 GHz. The unique feature of the chip lies in its ability to work with both DDR4 and more modern DDR5 RAM. In the first case, the maximum frequency of 3200 MHz is supported, in the second 5600 MHz.

In synthetic tests that evaluate multi-threaded load, the Core i9 Raptor Lake outperforms its predecessor, the Core i9-12900KF (Alder Lake architecture), by almost 35%. The advantage in single-threaded tests is about 10%. The increase in multi-core performance is due to the increased number of cores from 16 to 24 pieces. The increase in single-core performance is due to the increased clock speed. In the maximum load mode, the declared TDP is 253 W, so a powerful power supply is required in pair with the chip. For installation in a PC, you will need a motherboard with an LGA 1700 socket, which is also supported by the current generation of Alder Lake chips.
