There are no problems with Google services, no problems with email, no problems transferring contacts, no problems with performance. For anyone still unsure, here's my review. (I never write reviews, but this case is different). I was thinking about what to replace my Samsung 8 with, and off I went... Since I have a bias against Apple, my choice was limited to Samsung again, OnePlus, or Huawei. The first thing I needed was a good camera, second was performance, and preferably fewer services that burden the system in Samsung yet are essentially useless. I had my eye on this device, but naysayers online keep criticizing it because of Google services. So I hesitated, since Google services are kind of necessary for me. Well, I took the risk, and oh miracle, folks!! I made the right choice!!! The first thing I did was look for alternatives to those infamous services, and guess what?? You don't even need to look for them, all the apps I used (including Google Maps!!!!) installed perfectly from the Huawei gallery!! The only hiccup was transferring contacts, but I then exported them via Bluetooth to the new phone, and that was it!!! Carl, that's it!!! I installed another dozen apps and was done with it! I won't write much about the camera, even the critics praise it; in a word - awesome!! And the battery!! That's a whole other story! 2 days without charging!!!! I couldn't be happier, I don't use it heavily, don't play games, hang out on social networks, watch videos, take photos. By the end of the second day, there's still 20% left. I didn't expect this from Android. The fingerprint scanners, face recognition, and other stuff work super fast, it's a delight. Plus, no Samsung services. That's cool!! The camera at the back sticks out, and when I place it on the table, I'm always worried about breaking or scratching it, constantly anxious about it. I've already bought a case, but it still sticks out. Well, it's not really a flaw, more of a nitpick. Everyone understands that such quality could only be achieved by increasing the size. Oh, and the lack of a headphone jack, come on Huawei! But I found a 3.5 to USB type C adapter online for 120 UAH. |
i’ve been using it for quite a long time and so far the smartphone continues to please me. competitors can still be counted on one hand the camera is inferior in some places to its competitors but mostly still superior, the 90 Hz display for me is a direct balance between 120 and 60, powerful and energy-efficient processor, quality of build and materials, for Sber card owners there is contactless payment in the Sberpay application itself, for the rest bank wallet to this day there are no Google services and most likely there won’t be for a long time, although each time the reasons for installation disappear. mono speaker, 3.5 headphone jack use Huawei P40 Pro 256GB few months |
Picked up my phone a week ago. Delivered very quickly. I do manicure, I took it because of the macro camera. The photo quality is amazing. Makes them at the smart level more expensive. Surprising night mode - intelligent stabilization technology completely eliminates noise in the photo. The modern design looks much cooler in real life than on the website. 6 gigabytes of RAM is enough for all tasks with a margin. Camera Price use Huawei P40 Pro 256GB few months |

Huawei smartphones hold consistently high prizes in the category of the best camera phones. Topping the list is the P40 Pro, the flagship of the mobile photography genre.
Curved OLED panel
Meeting the device “by clothes”, the eye involuntarily focuses on the curved screen, which “swims” to the ends and side faces of the device case. The OLED panel of the smartphone with a diagonal size of 6.58" is characterized by an increased resolution of the displayed image (2640x1200 pixels), a refresh rate of 90 Hz and the presence of a fingerprint scanner in the sub-screen layer. A bright spot on the display stands out the “eyes” of the selfie camera — 32 MP lenses of the leading front-facing module and an auxiliary ToF sensor. When it comes to shooting self-portraits, the Huawei P40 Pro is ahead of the curve.
Emphasis on photography
The main focus of the smartphone is on the advanced functionality of the main camera. A rectangular block with it in black is placed on the back of the glass case and contains four image sensors. The camera is headed by a 50 MP RYYB sensor with f/1.9 aperture optics. He is accompanied by a 40 MP ultra-wide with an equivalent focal length of 18 mm and a 12 MP stabilized telephoto. The fourth sensor is the depth sensor. Huawei P40 Pro is unrivaled in night shooting and slow motion video recording (up to 7680 fps (!)).
Out of competition
In the wake of trade sanctions between the US and China, the smartphone comes without Google services. The AppGallery branded store partially helps out, which is gradually filled with the necessary applications. In general , Huawei P40 Pro will pull any mobile programme – the flagship Kirin 990 5G chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM provides a high speed “flight” of running applications without a hint of lag and slowdown. The smartphone supports fast and wireless charging of the battery in reverse mode, has an IP68 waterproof case, looks spectacular and is out of competition when it comes to photography.
