The Huawei P20 Pro makes progress in photography, but falls short in other areas.
Fantastic triple-camera setup

Definitely worth buying if you are an amateur photographer
22 May 2018
The best option for photography, if Huawei refines the software and adjusts the video (which they likely already announced on 21.05.2018), then this is simply a MONSTER, not a smartphone. The photography capabilities of this smartphone should be compared not with the iPhone X or Pixel 2 and the like, but with cameras. Because no smartphone can come close to replicating the shooting results of the Huawei P20 PRO. The Chinese have worked excellently and created a masterpiece, it only remains to support and improve the software, which they are actually doing.
The best camera for amateur and even pro (though on a smartphone, this is conditional) photography on the mobile device market. Incredibly powerful and just amazing night shooting. Very cool display and the notch doesn't get in the way. The battery life is great - I actively use social networks, watch videos, browse the internet, and it easily lasts a day. Fast charging works more than excellently.

Great package.
Not that it's a drawback, but the sound in the headphones (such as intelligent Dolby) could and should be much better for the price of 1200 bucks.

I've been using the device for a month, the camera doesn't lag, no matter what anyone says, it fits well in my hand, the battery lasts a long time.
Camera, battery, fast OS, speakers, fast charging, IP67 protection
didn't find it; if I'm being picky, there's no wireless charging and no 3.5 jack.

Design

Huawei P20 Pro is made in a full frameless style. The case is made of metal and boasts cool colours, namely a gradient that flows from purple to green — Twilight, black and midnight blue. The colour scheme was developed by Pantone, a professional colour solutions company.

Iron

The processor is the proprietary Hisilicon Kirin 970 and this is the first Huawei processor with support for artificial intelligence. Neural networks act as a photo sorter, and also understand what exactly you are photographing and improve the quality of the final image. For example, you take a picture of a cat, the smartphone understands what kind of object it is, selects the best settings for it and “adds” the picture to a folder with cats.

Screen

The screen has an unusual aspect ratio of 19:9, but if you do not take into account the section of the screen with a cutout for the front camera and ear speaker, it has a more familiar 18:9. The matrix is made using OLED technology with a resolution of 2240x1080 pixels — impressive.

Camera

The main cameras are three modules: 40 MP colour, 20 MP monochrome and 8 MP telephoto. The smartphone boasts 3x optical zoom, 5x mixed, ISO 102400, and the same aperture as the Galaxy S9. The front camera has a resolution of 24 MP, as well as an advanced portrait mode. Aside from the language of numbers, the smartphone has the best camera on the market. According to the authoritative publication DxOMark, the smartphone received a score of 109 points, while the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus scores 99 points, and the notorious Google Pixel 2 scores 98.
