Compact micro-ATX motherboard with 4 DDR4 memory slots, integrated PCI-E 4.0 communication bus and built-in ASRock Polychrome Sync lighting control system. Equipped with an AMD AM4 processor socket, running the middle class B550 system logic. Compatible with most Ryzen processors released between 2017 and 2022 including the Pinnacle Ridge, Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge, Matisse, Picasso, Vermeer, Cezanne, and Renoir families.

Although the board is part of the new Riptide gaming series that ASRock launched in 2022, the focus is not on the abundance of lighting or bold design, but on the quality, reliability and durability of the device. So an 8-phase power converter built on the basis of DrMOS microcircuits will easily supply energy to a rather voracious multi-core processor of the Ryzen 5 / Ryzen 7 level.

The printed circuit board is made using compacted copper conductors and a six-layer textolite, which increases the stability of the electrical signal and reduces operating temperature of the device. The near-socket space and M.2 zones receive additional cooling from radiators. DIMM sockets are equipped with special latches and built-in surge protection. Specialized PCI-e SMT connectors improve signal throughput and increase stability when operating at the high speeds inherent in the PCI-E 5.0 bus.

In general, the layout of the ASRock B550M PG Riptide has 4 slots for DDR4-4733 memory with support for XMP profiles (maximum 128 GB), two M.2 connectors and four classic SATA3 connectors for classic HDDs and SSDs. For installing video cards, there are 2 PCI-E slots with support for Crossfire mode. The Dragon RTL8125BG 2.5Gbps network controller was designed specifically for competitive gaming and resource-intensive tasks.
