Ryzen 7 Granite Ridge processors combine computing power and advanced technologies, including a 4-nanometer process technology and chiplet layout. The models are designed for installation in current-generation motherboards with the AM5 socket and support the PCIe 5.0 interface.
Compared to previous Ryzen series processors, the new products are compatible with DDR5 RAM at up to 5600 MHz. According to the manufacturer, Ryzen 7 Granite Ridge provides a performance increase per core of 15 to 20% relative to Ryzen 8000. The unlocked multiplier and improved capabilities of the Zen 5 architecture make the processors suitable for manual overclocking. Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) technology allows each of the 8 physical cores to process two computational threads, which gives 16 threads for complex tasks. The series includes several models that differ in base and maximum frequencies, the presence of an integrated GPU and support for three-dimensional cache technology. The latter is implemented only in versions with the X3D prefix.
