Xiaomi Router BE3600
![]() |
High-performance multi-purpose household wireless router (AX3600), supporting Wi-Fi 7 (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax/be), multi-threaded data transmission MU-MIMO, Dual WAN redundancy function, and ultra-fast Ethernet networks up to 2.5 Gbps. Positioned as a mid-range product, it is designed for use in an urban apartment, a small house, or a small office. It will unleash its potential with high-speed provider network connections (from 1 Gbps and beyond).
Like other high-performance Xiaomi Mi routers of the 2024 model, this unit can simultaneously operate on two Wi-Fi bands (one 2.4 GHz transceiver handles up to 688 Mbps, while the other operates in the 5 GHz range with 2x2 MU-MIMO and its theoretical throughput is 2882 Mbps). A powerful hardware platform provides stable connections for a large number of wireless devices. The actual throughput capacity of the Xiaomi Mi Router BE3600 is sufficient for all typical household tasks including viewing/streaming ultra-high-definition video streams, video conferencing, low-latency gaming, comfortable surfing, and working with multimedia files in the cloud or in NAS storage. For high-speed provider network connections, a 2.5G WAN GbE LAN port is provided, and three GbE LAN ports help create a local network. Four antennas, transmitter power, and Beamforming technology allow the device to create impressive Wi-Fi coverage.

I bought it for home use to have the ability to connect both home internet and work network simultaneously without having to constantly switch cables. The price is really nice for a device that supports Multi-WAN. However, however, however - the two networks don't work as stably in parallel on this router as on more expensive business-class models, so it's better to activate the "Primary WAN" and "Backup" mode. The second drawback of this device appeared when the power was turned off and I tried to connect power through a power bank (12V1A cable) - the device started self-rebooting every 5-10 minutes, making it extremely inconvenient to use in that mode. Cheap Multi-Wan automatically picks up all Internet network settings, really powerful WiFi. Purely Chinese interface (Google Translate in Chrome will help with translation), inability to operate stably through a power bank |
Great model for its price Excellent speed, stable operation. Sufficient number of settings and functions, good coverage within a small apartment Lack of translation |
I purchased a Mesh Wi-Fi coverage system for my home in conjunction with another router, the BE5000, and together they manage the task remarkably well. The connection between them switches seamlessly, and the coverage is stable. The signal penetrates walls reasonably well, although the speed noticeably decreases depending on the material of the walls. I got the Chinese version, so setting it up wasn't very convenient, with the help of a browser translator. With gigabit connectivity from the provider, it delivers 500-700 Mbps on an iPhone via SpeedTest using AC, but I haven't tested WiFi 7 yet, as unfortunately, I don't have such devices yet. It consumes 12V 1.5A, and if you power it from a power bank, ordinary adapters with even 3A output don't handle it, and the router shuts off. You need a Type-C DC 4.0x1.7 mm cable and a power bank that supports 12V Power Delivery. By the way, in the higher 5000 model, the consumption is 1A. Overall, the model is decent, especially considering its price-to-functionality ratio. Inexpensive, powerful, easy to configure, concise design the lack of the possibility of mounting on the wall, more than the older model of electricity consumption |
Advanced connection settings
The Xiaomi Mi Router BE3600 is built on a well-thought-out technical foundation that lets you flexibly configure port modes, wireless modules, and the device itself. Its key advantage is support for Wi‑Fi 7 in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, with channel aggregation via MLO to boost throughput. Among the standout features is Dual WAN mode: it supports both load balancing between two ISPs to increase speed and distribute traffic evenly, and failover to keep you online if one connection goes down. All four ports are universal and can operate as LAN or WAN. One caveat: it’s designed for vertical placement with no wall-mount option. Since the antennas are fixed and not adjustable, finding the best spot can be tricky in a large home or office. Even so, Mesh support is retained, letting you eliminate dead zones by adding compatible devices.
Network security
The router’s firmware offers a wide range of protection and control tools. A built-in firewall monitors cyberthreats in real time and alerts you to potential risks through the Mi Home app. Setup is simplified by the Mijia smart system, which lets you optimize the router for specific tasks in just a few clicks. You also get parental controls with content filtering, device allowlists and blocklists, time limits, and other helpful features.
