Model overview based on user reviews
The Xiaomi 12X 128 GB / 8 GB is a compact smartphone that stands out for its compact design, making it easy to handle and operate with one hand. It features a premium build quality with a metal frame and matte glass, adding to its aesthetic appeal. The phone is equipped with a good main camera that delivers high-quality photos and videos, even without additional software, and supports fast charging, allowing it to quickly regain battery life. However, users have noted some drawbacks, such as weak battery life that lasts only a day with moderate use, and issues with the proximity sensor. Additionally, the absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack and occasional overheating during camera use are noted concerns. Despite these cons, the Xiaomi 12X remains a solid choice for those seeking a compact and stylish smartphone.

I'm comparing it to the Mi 8 I had before (this phone is significantly better, except it's a bit too large). The plus of this model is its compactness, which is why it was purchased. Other than that, nothing extraordinary. The phone has more minuses than pluses, and I've also noticed that each new Xiaomi model is worse than the previous one. In principle, the phone is good, but there are many things to put up with; they're not critical, but still unpleasant nuances. I think I could write down a few more minuses if I sit and think about it. Nonetheless, I'm still satisfied. Design Dimensions Fast charging Proximity sensor (has a mind of its own) Camera with flash records for 3 minutes and then shuts off due to overheating Very weak vibration Not the strongest battery When recording calls it is announced so loudly you could go deaf No infrared camera for unlocking in the dark Terrible in-display unlock sensor No notification indicator use Xiaomi 12X 128GB month or more i recommend it should buy |
Overall, the phone is excellent, fits well in the hand, neither too big nor too small. Xiaomi has finally found the perfect balance for a phone. The display is great, even with those rounded edges, although that might just require some getting used to. The sound is clear and bassy, but there's not much of it; it's quiet. My Mi9t is so loud you can't even hear it. The package includes a case and a charger. Good screen (1-120Hz), with active use, 30% battery left by the end of the day. Proximity sensor (this is already an issue for I don't even know how many generations), the price is overpriced. ![]() |
A nice phone for its price. When I got it, it didn't cost much, but at that time it was the most optimal with a small size. It looks nice, fits well in the hand, the matte glass, metal frame, and small screen bezels add elegance and premium feel. The main camera is very good, quality photos even without GCam. Video at 960 fps. Macro photography is very high quality with fairly fast focus. Something incredible. Fast charging is very good, after a year the battery holds less, about 6-8 hours of intensive use, but 20 minutes on the charger and you have another 6 hours. I’m adding some photo examples.
