High-capacity 14 TB stationary external hard drive with external power supply, high-speed USB 3.2 A Gen1 interface and additional hardware data encryption based on a reliable AES algorithm with a 256-bit key. It is one of the older models of the WD My Book NEW family, which includes disks with a capacity of 3/4/6/8/12/14/16/18 TB. The manufacturer guarantees full compatibility with both the MS Windows platform and Apple computers/laptops (formatted in the exFAT file system for compatibility without additional configuration).
Suitable for storing a large number of backup copies, materials from large work projects and a wide variety of media content, including photos, video content and audio recordings. The external hard drive WD My Book NEW WDBBGB0140HBK is made in a strict black rectangular case weighing 1360 g. Thanks to its elegant exterior design, it will easily fit into any modern office or home interior. On the rear panel there is a USB 3.2 Gen1 interface port connector, providing high data transfer speeds reaching 5 Gbps. This performance is sufficient for quickly copying both large amounts of information and many small files to the hard drive. Comes with proprietary software for backup and strong data encryption.

8 terabytes, I think, should be enough for quite a while without needing to look for more space. It might not be mobile enough to toss into a pocket or a small bag, but it’s suitable for home use. Volume The package with the disk includes a power supply with a Chinese plug, without any adapter, so you’ll need to purchase an adapter with the disk. Also, there was some software on the hard drive for use with the disk. I say "some" because during installation it showed an error and didn't install, so I am using it in the usual way.
