By connecting this external drive via USB 3.0, I was honestly surprised by the high speed. Of course, I knew this was a new generation of data transfer. I just got used to information being transferred to an external drive via USB rather slowly, but here everything is fast and precise. Plus, it looks interesting—not some gaudy object on the table, but designed like a book. I hope the manufacturer has kept up their tradition of making reliable equipment, and that this hard drive will serve me well for a long time to come. I believe that an external hard drive is never unnecessary in the home. But as for which one to buy, that is for each person to decide based on their needs and preferences. What pleases me the most is that now I don't have to sit for hours with a sour face by the computer, waiting for it to finish transferring a couple of files of several GB to an external drive. This drive supports USB 3.0 transfer, and that's a completely different speed, I tell you. The external drive, of course, also supports 2.0, but modern technology is modern technology... Managing data on this drive is quite convenient; there are no lags or freezes when searching and opening files. However, for external drives with a large buffer and high rotational speed, this is already a common positive trend. I bought this disc for work, not to find faults in it. I've long dreamed of buying an external drive. But, as it turned out, choosing one is quite problematic—either the price is too high, the specs are too weak, or the brand is unknown and questionable. In the end, I decided not to stress and buy from the same manufacturer I have on my computer. WD hasn't let me down yet, so I have every reason to believe that my external drive will work flawlessly too. The drive operates virtually without vibration, and the casing temperature doesn't give any cause for concern. And yet, the rotation speed reaches 7200 RPM, if the manufacturer is to be believed.
