Server internal (embedded) high-capacity hard drive 24000 GB (24 TB) from the 2020 WD Gold line of 3.5" HDD drives. This family includes enterprise-class models of various sizes (from 1 GB to 24 TB), design and firmware which are optimized for operation in critical enterprise-level data storage systems. Due to their increased reliability and ability to work with high loads for a long time, they are one of the best choices for equipping large data centers and enterprise-level servers.
Thanks to the standard SATA3 connection interface, they can be used. as an additional high-capacity drive in a workstation or top-end NAS system, the WD Gold WD241KRYZ hard drive is equipped with a large 512 MB DRAM buffer, and the internal space of its hermetic unit is filled with helium using HelioSeal technology. The low density of this gas (7 times lighter than air. ) reduces plate friction losses and reduces the impact of gas flows on the positioning accuracy of the heads. Energy-assisted magnetic recording and CMR technology provides improved accuracy and further increases recording density. The maximum linear read speed reaches an impressive 297 MB/s. Feedback on the WD8004FRYZ version in 8TB. I got this disk purely for backups, so since the purchase, it has spent 99% of its time sitting on a shelf. I want to mention the fairly loud noise both during idle and in the read/write process. But for a disk with such volume and spindle speed, this is quite an acceptable phenomenon. I also want to highlight the heat, it's quite significant here. After a two-hour write process, the disk heated up to 58 degrees (critical temperature is 60), so air cooling is absolutely necessary for this disk!
