Flagship camera from the line of cropped mirrorless cameras of the Sony 6000 series. The model was released in 2023 and is equipped with a new Exmor R APS-C format image sensor with a resolution of 26 MP. The sensor's native ISO sensitivity range is from 100 to 102400 units for photo mode and up to 32000 ISO for video recording. Speaking of which, the camera shoots video in a maximum frame format of 4K (3840x2160 pixels) at 120 fps.
Recording is performed with oversampling from a higher 6K resolution. The model also supports All-I, S-Cinetone profiles and S-Log3 and 4:2:2 10-bit recording formats. The operation of the Sony A6700 body is powered by the Bionz XR processor along with a separate AI-based computing unit, which is responsible for image processing and autofocus (with object recognition in the frame and auto-cropping during video recording).
Overall, the camera's autofocus system consists of 750 phase detection points, covering 93% of the frame area. The mirrorless camera is equipped with an in-body image stabilizer with a claimed efficiency of up to 5 exposure or shutter speed stops, a touchscreen on a swivel hinge, and an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million pixels. One battery charge provides the capability to shoot approximately 570 frames. In the body configuration, the camera is supplied without a kit lens — acquiring suitable optics will need to be handled independently.

Powerful equipment
The camera is equipped with an APS-C format Exmor R sensor with a resolution of 26 MP. The ISO range for photography is from 100 to 102400, and for video recording - up to 32000. In addition, the camera has a 5-axis matrix image stabilization system. For image processing and autofocus, the Bionz XR processor is used in combination with an artificial intelligence module.
Autofocus and video shooting
Autofocus in the Sony A6700 includes 759 points and works perfectly in tracking mode for objects in the frame. When shooting video, the camera automatically frames the image to keep the main subject in focus as it moves. The video is recorded with oversampling from 6K and supports a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels at 60 or even 120 fps.
