SEL-2470Z

One of the first-born of Sony's full-frame mirrorless optics squadron, covering the most sought-after focal length range among photographers — 24-70mm. The model was developed in close cooperation with Carl Zeiss and is based on the notorious Vario-Tessar optical design from the German optics giant. The appearance of the Sony SEL-2470Z 24-70mm F4 is completely dominated by minimalism — there was no place on the metal lens case for either the focus mode switch or the optical stub control lever, although there is autofocus and stabilization system on board the model.

The model is aimed at strong integration with the camera. The maximum relative aperture of the lens is kept at f / 4 throughout the entire range of focal lengths. The lens produces a razor-sharp image with minimal inclusion of aberrations and almost imperceptible vignetting at the edges of the frame. Despite the fact that the model is “dressed up” in a metal suit with dust and water protection properties, with dimensions of 73x95 mm, the “glass” weighs nothing at all — 426 g.
