Sony 24-50mm f/2.8 G FE (SEL2450G)

A small zoom lens aimed at full-frame mirrorless Sony cameras. The model is characterized by a slightly reduced focal length range of 24-50mm (compared to the usual universal zooms of 24-70mm). This feature makes the lens compact and lightweight. The dimensions of the Sony 24-50mm f/2.8 G FE vary from 92.3 to 115mm (depending on zoom position), and the weight of the model is 440g.

The optical design of the lens includes 16 elements in 13 groups, which also features four aspherical elements and two ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses. The lens is complemented by an 11-blade rounded aperture. The lens automatically focuses from a distance of 18cm. There is a two-position switch and a dedicated button on the lens body for switching focus modes and locking focus. In total, the lens has three control rings for focusing, zooming, and aperture adjustment (with characteristic click stops). The model boasts dust and moisture resistance.
