Despite the fact that the Galaxy S10 Lite has a 48 MP main camera, the quality is lower than that of the Galaxy S10 (12 MP). Super AMOLED display. Camera with optical stabilization. Advanced video editor. NFC. Fast charging. Fingerprint scanner in the display. Capacious battery.
The main differences between Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 are display size (6.7" vs 6.1"), cameras (48 MP vs 12 MP), processor and battery (4500 mAh vs 3400 mAh).
The sub-flagship smartphone has been launched since the beginning of 2020, positioned as a light version of the top model Samsung Galaxy S10. However, they have little in common. The "lightweight" device got a "perforated" screen with a diagonal of 6.7" on a substrate from a proprietary Super AMOLED type matrix. A 32 MP selfie camera “burns” in his forehead (more precisely, you can see the front camera lens).
Under the plane of the display of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite 128GB / 6GB, there is a fingerprint sensor. The hardware platform of the gadget is headed by the Snapdragon 855 chipset — one of the most powerful mobile solutions at the time of the announcement of the device. All current games and applications with maximum graphics settings will “go” on the smartphone. In the photographic part, the model is equipped with a triple main camera with a 48 MP module as the leader, a 12 MP ultra-wide and a 5 MP sensor for macro photography as auxiliary ones. The smartphone's camera is designed as a rectangular plate on a glass back. The model supports Samsung DeX mode, is armed with an NFC chip and a 4500 mAh battery of solid capacity (charged via a symmetrical USB-C port using accelerated charging technology).

Replicant
As with the Samsung Galaxy Note lineup, the S model lineup also has a cheaper variant of the top smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is a modern smartphone with a huge screen, but at the same time it is quite thin and light, which makes it comfortable in the hand. According to the materials, the case turned out to be simpler than that of the flagships, the back wall is made not of glass, but of plastic. We don't even know if this is a plus or a minus. Glass seems to be more premium, but plastic is more practical. From the outside they look the same. In other respects, the continuity of the design has been preserved, even a massive metal frame has also remained around the body, giving the design a high cost.
Large and high-quality Super AMOLED display
This is probably the first time in history that the light version of the phone received a screen larger than the original. It was 6.4", it became 6.7. At the same time, the resolution has decreased to 2400x1080 pixels, and the matrix is now not Dynamic AMOLED, but a “regular” Super AMOLED. The screen, though not so fancy, but still excellent. We saw a similar matrix in the recent Note10 Lite, with which they have a lot in common.
Snapdragon 855
While the Note10 Lite received a processor from the previous model, the S10 Lite got an almost flagship Snapdragon 855. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, storage is 128 GB, plus there is a slot for a memory card. In everyday work, this is an excellent smartphone that easily handles with any tasks, and even has a margin of safety for the future. In terms of additional features, the smartphone offers exactly what you expect from a model of this level: NFC, a fingerprint scanner in the display, a capacious 4500 mAh battery, fast charging, modern communication modules and a modern triple camera with optical stabilization.
No surprises
The problem is that we are gradually used to seeing such a set of characteristics in handsets for $200-300, and the Galaxy S10 Lite for its $500 does not offer anything more than that. The situation could be leveled by the camera, but it is quite ordinary here and stands out only due to optical stabilization and a fancy video editor. But there are no buns like water protection or a Wi-Fi 6 module. In general, a decent model, but not for that kind of money. The same Galaxy Note10 Lite at least attracts due to the full support of the stylus.
