+ The picture quality is really cool, the colors are transmitted wonderfully, watching movies is a pleasure. + All the pros (and most of the cons) of IPS matrices. + Quite a convenient settings menu (minimalist). +- It has built-in speakers (turned them off right away). + The work indicator (LED light) is small and not distracting. + The stand is convenient, in my opinion. You can store something there (not taking up the whole desk like with LG or Samsung). - 28". Keep in mind that the pixel density here is slightly lower (perhaps even non-standard), and if you place a similar 27" 4K monitor next to it, you'll notice a minimal size difference in the same components. - Everything's cool until the evening sun enters the room. Specifically the room, not the monitor. Especially if it falls on you, you see yourself almost like in a mirror. - "Wakes up" in about 10 seconds, which can be annoying at times. - Tilt only (if adjusting is important to you). - Very bright (I set it to 45% because at night, looking at white is impossible). - Many places mention that it has terrible light bleed, but I haven't even figured out what it affects. -+ Only an HDMI cable was included. -+ PBP / PIP only works from different inputs, meaning HDMI + HDMI won't work. |
A monitor with excellent color reproduction, wide viewing angles and comfortable to play with every day, uniform backlighting, narrow frames around the screen, matte finish and does not catch glare. It’s a pleasure to work on such a screen, because large tables and docks in general fit. It is convenient to read the text for a long time. I am satisfied with the purchase he's really cool I didn't notice any problems. |
A solid monitor from a good manufacturer, with good color reproduction, decent viewing angles, an optimal size diagonal, and everything looks smooth in games. I didn't notice any graininess, as the resolution here is high. I'm satisfied with the monitor. Adequate price for such specifications All is good. The monitor is top-notch. |

Not briefly: I was looking to replace a pair of old monitors for work and watching videos, but it was important that the color reproduction was quite ok.
I was choosing between these models:
Dell S2722QC / LG 27UP650 / LG 27UL650 / Philips 288E2A / Samsung U28R550UQ
The Samsung was quickly ruled out because there are no decent professional reviews for it anywhere (that's just the kind of person I am).
I didn't like some of the minor details in the LGs.
But I was torn between Dell and Philips until the last moment, but the 5k price difference and the information that Philips is almost the only well-calibrated monitor among the competitors made the decision.
I chose based on reviews on Amazon / ek / hotline and reviews on rtings and pcmonitors. Bought it at Comfy for approximately 276 EUR.
