The curved ultra-wide 34-inch monitor from Philips' Evnia series is a gaming solution at the intersection of advanced and premium price categories. The model supports UltraWide Quad HD video format with a resolution of 3440x1440 pixels, equipped with an ergonomic stand that allows you to adjust the tilt, swivel, and height of the display, as well as convert it to portrait mode.
Key features of the equipment include a USB hub with fast charging support and customizable Ambiglow body lighting, synchronized and managed by AI technologies. The Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 monitor is based on a 10-bit QD-OLED panel, which guarantees not only excellent color reproduction and color depth but also reference contrast and adequate brightness for HDR content (complies with the DisplayHDR 400 standard).
The gaming status is confirmed by the immediate response (0.03 ms gray-to-gray delay) and the high refresh rate (175 Hz). Additionally, gamers have access to various profile options, including presets for popular game genres, Shadow Boost for highlighting dark areas of the frame, and Smart Sniper aiming assistance. Moreover, thanks to the wide color gamut covering 149% of the sRGB space, 99.3% of DCI P3, and 97.8% of Adobe RGB, the model can also be recommended for design tasks, including photo editing, etc. Plus, in various work scenarios, the MultiView mode, or Picture by Picture, is useful—allowing simultaneous display of images from two sources.

QD-OLED with glossy anti-glare is a scary thing The picture quality is good, no artifacts. Fast, good for gaming. The anti-glare glossy coating is catastrophically soft - it gets scratched unrealistically easily! This kind of coating is good for TVs that are two meters away from the user. But for a monitor, it's not very good because it's very easy to get it dirty at such a close distance (sneezing, eating, drinking). And when you wipe the monitor with tissues, it gets scratched even by the dust on the tissue. For those interested, there's a thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/1k5k Second disadvantage - in standby mode, the LED blinks so the whole room lights up. I can't fall asleep, I constantly cover that LED with a notebook. Third disadvantage - on the second day after buying it, I had a stuck pixel on blue. The next day, that pixel started working properly again (maybe it got stuck due to overheating). I tried pressing on that LED with a soft rubber eraser as recommended. It didn't help. The eraser I had wasn't very soft, and now I have very deep scratches in that spot. Visible on a dark image under sunlight. Fourth disadvantage - the screen gets very warm during operation. Not critical fifth - the wall backlight (ambient lighting) lags behind the picture, with a lag of about half a second. |
