Model overview based on user reviews
The Makita HR2470 rotary hammer is widely appreciated for its reliability, power, and ergonomic design, making it a popular choice among both home users and professionals. Users highlight its lightweight and comfortable grip, which reduces fatigue during prolonged use. The tool's three operating modes—hammer drilling, drilling only, and chiseling—are praised for versatility, while the long 4-meter power cord adds convenience. Despite its strengths, some users report issues with the SDS chuck developing a wobble over time, affecting drilling accuracy. Additionally, while it performs well for general drilling tasks, it may not be suitable for heavy-duty demolition work or use with large-diameter core bits. The build quality varies depending on the manufacturing location, with some users experiencing frequent repairs. Overall, the Makita HR2470 offers a good balance of price and performance, especially for those needing a reliable tool for regular home and light professional use.

The price-quality ratio is excellent. Everything is just super. No. ![]() |
Super tool, every man should have) i live in a panel house, where you can’t poke anything and attach concrete everywhere, I decided to finally buy a hammer drill. Zor fell on professional equipment, namely Makita and Bosch GBH 2-24 DF, since these are almost the same, because of the price I chose Makita, 400 UAH difference. There is no feeling of shocks at all when the pusher itself is working, although I expected that it would be necessary to press very carefully and hold it tightly, otherwise you might poke more than one hole. The kit includes a case with space for attachments and a second pocket for various small items. I use it as a regular drill, no problems, I read on the forums they say it cuts off due to overheating, I have not observed this in my practice. I tried it as a screwdriver, I’ll say it’s not an easy task to hold almost 3 kg in your hands and play with tightening the bolts) There’s enough power for absolutely everything. no shortcomings found ![]() |
Thing!! ideal for interior decoration. I have been using the Finnish assembly since 2008. Lightweight, quiet, fits perfectly in the hand. I don’t even know for 8 years of active use! If only to exclude the use of crowns for concrete with a diameter of more than 50 mm, in order to extend the service life by another 5 years. use Makita HR2470 month or more i recommend it should buy |
