Significantly improved RDNA4 architecture, handy proprietary software, good performance in professional 3D applications, a design on par with higher-end models, and an overbuilt cooling system that doesn’t exceed average noise levels under maximum load. The graphics card’s backplate is an aluminum plate that prevents the PCB from bending and also draws away heat thanks to the thermal gel placed underneath it. An interesting feature of the card is that next to the 8-pin PCIe connector there’s a white indicator that will blink if any power issues occur.
I use this graphics card at work mainly in DaVinci Resolve (an app for color correction and non-linear video editing), where thanks to the improved architecture it shows better results than its direct competitor, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti.
A big advantage of the Radeon RX 9060 XT (over its competitor) is the full-fledged PCIe 5.0 x16 bus, and this is very important for owners of not-new PCs. My PC has PCIe 4.0. That means the data exchange speed between the CPU and GPU is PCIe 4.0 x16. No frame drops have been observed in DaVinci Resolve.
The drivers work stably, and since the architecture is new, driver updates increase the graphics card’s performance.
