Affordable 2019 mid-range gaming graphics card based on Nvidia TU116 GPU with Turing advanced microarchitecture. It differs from the popular model Gigabyte GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6G in the use of a high-performance WindForce 3X heat dissipation system and more significant factory overclocking of the GPU (+5% to the boost-mode frequency). Thanks to an efficient two-slot and three-fan cooling system based on three composite copper heat pipes, the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING OC 6G graphics card runs quietly even under significant load, and when the GPU is idle, the fans completely stop and the cooling system goes into completely silent passive mode.
Unlike the GTX 1660 models, the GTX 1660 SUPER is designed with fast GDDR6 graphics memory. The increased effective clock speed (14000 MHz vs. 8000 MHz) made it possible to increase the bandwidth of the memory subsystem, which provided an overall increase in gaming performance by 10-20%. Designed to complete a balanced and affordable gaming PC, can be used to upgrade existing gaming systems. Provides a consistently high frame rate in most popular games of 2015-2020 in FullHD resolution at high or maximum graphics quality settings. Works with 4K/8K monitors and VR headsets.

I bought it in September 2020 for 20500, for this money the card is simply excellent, it runs everything in full HD, even at 2K some games work without problems Excellent cooling, in a ventilated case the maximum temperature at maximum load is 64 degrees No use Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING OC 6G more than year |
The card was purchased in the middle of 2020 for ~8 thousand UAH. Since then, I have never regretted it. Quiet and cold, for 1080p - ideal even in the realities of 2021. The memory can be overclocked to almost 8000 MHz (16000 MHz effective), the core from the factory is almost at the limit (it is already unstable at 2000 MHz). Quiet, cold, there is where to drive the memory. Software from Gigabyte for controlling LGBT lighting is very crooked. |
Excellent model. Purchased a year ago for 23k. All new releases and demanding games run on high and ultra settings. The noise is quite tolerable. It's completely silent without a load. I'm very glad I chose it, even though I didn't consider it before the upgrade. Not identified. |
King of the mid-range
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING is a mid-tier card based on a full-fledged 12 nm Turing GPU, which, unlike the regular GTX 1660, uses faster GDDR6 memory, giving it a serious edge over its predecessors.
Comfortable frame rates in any modern games
In terms of price per FPS, this is one of the best deals on the market. By our somewhat rough calculations, you’ll pay just $5.05 per 1 FPS on Ultra. Even the old RX 580, which still runs any modern games, lags a bit in this regard. So it’s no surprise the GTX 1660S is always in the gaming charts and gets recommended in every other build. It confidently handles any AAA titles at ultra/high settings and Full HD resolution. 6 GB of GDDR6 could become a bottleneck down the road, but as long as you don’t crank up the resolution, the impact of VRAM on gameplay won’t be too critical.
10% more performance thanks to overclocking
Speaking specifically about Gigabyte’s SUPER GAMING version, more praise is warranted. Gigabyte GPUs have recently become a particular favorite with buyers, offering an optimal balance of price, performance, and quality. This version boasts a factory overclock, high-quality components—important for longevity—and a quiet yet effective cooling system. That said, because of the three fans, the card is pretty bulky. The beefed-up power delivery also gives you room to overclock. Right off the bat, by raising the power limit, we managed to squeeze out an extra 7–8% on the core and memory. The trade-off was higher power draw. If you decide to get one, it’s better to go with a 500 W PSU rather than 450 W.
