The processor has four cores and SMT support, which means two threads per core. Compared to previous generations, the new product is equipped with a halved cache (4 MB L3), but at the same time it has decently increased frequencies. Namely — 3.7 GHz by standard and 4.2 GHz in boost. The multiplier is also unlocked, which means manual overclocking is possible on motherboards starting with the B350 chipset. However, older AM4 motherboards will require a BIOS update. If we compare the chip with its predecessor 2400G, then the new product produces an average of 8% more power due to increased clock frequencies. Plus, the integrated graphics core Vega 11 is slightly overclocked, which will be a plus for those who do not plan to buy a separate graphics card, but do not mind sometimes running online in Fortnite or CS:GO.
