Model overview based on user reviews
The Transcend JetFlash 730 USB flash drive has received mixed reviews from users. Some users highlight its minimalist design and good price/performance ratio, especially for the 64GB version, which offers a writing speed between 30 to 40 MB/s and a reading speed of 140 MB/s on USB 3.0. However, other users report significant issues with the drive, particularly with older models from 2016, citing slow transfer speeds and frequent failures. The drive's performance seems inconsistent, with some models performing well and others failing to meet expectations. Overall, while the JetFlash 730 can be a budget-friendly option, potential buyers should be cautious of possible defects in certain batches.

This is a very basic 2.0 flash drive ((( I didn't find anything resembling 3.0 in it!!! FAT32 - copying from/to it at 10-15 MB/sec... NTFS - first 2 seconds at 150 MB/sec... After a second, half as much, and with each second, half as much again... After 15-20 seconds, copying stops... The computer hangs. Tested on different computers! With various software! Complete rubbish! On the manufacturer's website, THE SPEED IS NOT SPECIFIED!!! And now I understand why. NO!!! SLOW!!! |
Returned more than 10 items to stores in 2016, although for many years I have been recording movies for clients on flash drives of this brand. Notably, flash drives with a capacity of 64 GB with the same name work correctly. From this 700 series of 32 GB, I found a flash drive that meets the criteria - 790. Design Does not match the stated specifications. An 8 GB movie takes over 50 minutes to record. The writing speed then "drops" from 6 MB to 0 MB. Virtually all USB sticks of models 700 and 730 produced in 2016 are defective. Flash drives from 2014 and 2015 work without issues. use Transcend JetFlash 730 month or more |
Video recording of 3 GB size was done in exFAT and NTFS (results are the same). The laptop has USB 3.0. It reads at 140 MB/s, and the writing speed does not drop below 20 MB/s, usually staying between 30 to 40 MB/s. I bought it twice. The first time, the flash drive died during the process of downloading 50 GB of files to it. The second one has already endured a total of 150 GB and shows no signs of giving up. I hope it will live long and at least somewhat efficiently. Trans. Minimalist design. The second trans didn't die after my secret stress test. Price/performance ratio. NOT a transparent cap. Visibility of the LED indicator (second minus). Matte plastic only on the sides of the flash drive, and glossy in the middle. |
