Positioned as a mid-price category product, it is aimed at use in laptops, miniPCs, HDD cases, all-in-one PCs, and multimedia systems.

Can be used as a reliable solution for storing files of work projects, small amounts of high-resolution multimedia content, and small backups. Thanks to the moderate spinning speed of the magnetic platters at 5400 RPM and an economical controller, it demonstrates modest heat emission not exceeding 1.5 W. The Toshiba MQ01ABFxxx 2.5" MQ01ABF050 hard drive is not productive enough for use as a system drive, but performs well when paired with a system SSD.
