Model overview based on user reviews
The Silicon Power P34A60 M.2 SSD offers a range of storage capacities, making it versatile for different needs. Users appreciate its affordability and the five-year warranty that provides peace of mind. However, some users have noted that the actual read and write speeds are lower than the advertised 2200 MB/s and 1700 MB/s, respectively, with real-world performance showing 1700 MB/s for reading and 900 MB/s for writing. Despite this, the SSD is described as a reliable workhorse, having served well in both desktop and laptop environments over several years. It does tend to warm up during use, reaching temperatures of 40-45 degrees Celsius, which is something to consider for those concerned with heat management. Overall, while it may not stand out in terms of speed, its reliability and endurance make it a solid choice for everyday use.
Pros
Cons
The speeds do not match the stated ones! affordable SPEED ALMOST 2 TIMES LOWER! Claimed 2200 MB/s for reading and 1700 MB/s for writing, but getting 1700 and 900 MB/s respectively! |
My first M.2 NVME drive. I've been using it since the end of December 2020. It was a system drive on a desktop for almost two years, then moved to a laptop for 1 year, and now it's back in the desktop. By the end of 2023, it doesn't stand out as anything special, but it's a reliable workhorse. Five-year warranty, 150 TBW write endurance. When working on a laptop it warms up to 45 degrees, while working on a desktop it feels warmer (40-41 degrees). |
