High luminosity. Soft bokeh. Blend included.

Fast "fifty kopecks" (taking into account the crop factor of Micro 4/3 cameras, equal to two) from the category of state employees. Despite the availability, the bayonet mount at the fix is made of metal, and the autofocus motor lurks inside its body. The optical scheme of the lens consists of 8 elements, combined in 7 groups. It has a pair of aspherical lenses and one high refractive index (UHR) element.

The 7-blade aperture of the Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 opens up to a maximum of f/1.7 and its minimum aperture is f/16. The lens is aimed at the target from a minimum focus distance of 25 cm. The small size (61x52 mm) and light weight (only 125 g) increase the attractiveness of the model in the eyes of owners of compact Micro 4/3 mirrorless cameras, which include Olympus and Panasonic photographic equipment.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 lens is highly regarded for its excellent aperture, providing clear images in both video and photography, even in low-light conditions. Users appreciate its lightweight and stable performance, making it suitable for various settings, including weddings and cityscapes. The lens delivers good picture quality and is considered a great value for its price. While the autofocus can be slow in dim lighting, it generally performs well in well-lit environments. Some users wish for dust and water protection, but overall, the lens is recommended for both professionals and beginners. Its ability to capture sharp images and soft bokeh makes it a versatile addition to any Micro 4/3 camera kit.

Cons

It's worth getting for anyone who's unsure. You'll end up needing it anyway.

In general, we need to refresh the reviews page for this lens. Let's go. Glass is Good, Stable and Light! I recommend it to both professionals and beginners. This lens is a must have in a drop camera user's kit! do you hear? Yes Yes! For your goals and objectives and for this price, try looking! For a night city and background blur. For VIDEO it is also very tolerable. Yes, autofocus is dull, but this is not a problem with your cameras! namely, a tired motor in the lens itself. and don’t blame your Olympus Fujis and Panas! The standard lens on my G80 catches focus perfectly! or rather, he doesn’t drop it. Yes. exactly the standard 12-60 lens. not the one that comes with hashiks 5. but the one without a switch on board. And this one intercepts locations with a slight delay. Judging by the darkness (the stop and three lamps on the platform), one can say that it is becoming wildly stupid. Yes. there is such a thing. but in a lit city after sunset or indoors in low light, it will not let you down! For all other perversions there are working lights, flashlights and other crutches! Well, after all, you don’t walk in the dark without lighting, do you? So? and it would be stupid to break your forehead in a dark room and curse your eyes! :) same with this lens. ! It is excellent and you can safely take it and use it! Here is a link to YouTube - there is a video that I shot after the rain and sunset. at blue hour. Don’t kick me too hard, but the video was painted in my style. but the quality and grip can be safely assessed on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYnxLQodVRM therefore, we boldly take it - whoever doubts it. Good luck :)
Aperture!!!!!!!!!!! on the open hole everything is clear in the video and photo! Well, sometimes for greater picture density you can rotate the speed tent. Easy. Knows how to remove small spiders. :) stable in the video in wide shots. During the blue hour, he boldly holds moving objects from his hands. For precision nailing, a tripod will help. at dusk when driving around the city from the car through the windshield, it takes excellent photos with the city lighting on. In general, there are a lot of pleasant little things and quite a worthy trick! You can safely keep it on hand at weddings. And they can safely do stats as the main one without fear of failure. The city movement is boldly captured in the videos. In general, these are all my conclusions. And you take it and try it :) I didn’t understand anything from the reviews and empty chatter of reviewers on YouTube! I had to buy it and test it :) I was not mistaken! I'll tell you :)
yes, there are none - if you don’t find fault with little things. Well, you can say the price. Yes. perhaps a little expensive bastard :) and unprotected from precipitation.

great model, love it

The best combination of price / quality. On an open aperture, you can safely shoot flat textures - there is enough sharpness. With such a design, they could make dust / water protection without problems and price increases - this is just a wish.

It is believed that the focal length around 50 mm (full frame equivalent) roughly corresponds to how our eyes see. Hence the secret of the popularity of all kinds of "fifty dollars", which include the Panasonic Lumix 25mm f / 1.7 ASPH (taking into account the 2x crop factor of the Micro 4/3 system).

Minimalism

The appearance of the model is completely dominated by minimalism — of the functional elements on the lens body, there is only a focus ring. Its stroke from the minimum focus distance (25 cm) to infinity is 600 °, which corresponds to two incomplete turns of the ring. The plastic “outfit” of the fix is diluted with a metal bayonet mount at the point where the lens docks with the “carcass” of the camera. Also "out of the box" a hood is attached to the model.

Effective blur

The optical design of the Panasonic Lumix 25mm f/1.7 ASPH consists of 8 elements in 7 groups. In addition , 7 aperture blades provide soft bokeh with regular object circles in the blur zone in the centre of the frame and ellipsoids closer to the edges. The lens does not guarantee a direct artistic background blur, but with “straight arms” and focus at close distances, you can very effectively separate the subject from the background.

Availability

With sharpness, the model is doing well, with the exception of the “blurring” of the edges of the frame when shooting at an open aperture of f / 1.7. The situation evens out already at f / 2.8, and in the future, the detail of the images only grows. The lens would have even faster autofocus, which sometimes behaves slowly at dusk, as well as when shooting video, and it would not have a price at all. However, the “half-shock” works out its cost in full, being the most affordable among its peers for the Micro 4/3 system.
