Model overview based on user reviews
The OnePlus 13 512 GB / 16 GB is a flagship smartphone that stands out for its high-quality 2k, 120Hz LTPO display, which supports use with gloves and wet conditions, offering a super convenient and immersive viewing experience. It boasts a 6000mAh battery with impressive longevity, providing up to 11 hours of screen time, and supports fast charging at 100W, allowing a full charge in just 35 minutes. The device is powered by a top-of-the-line processor and memory, ensuring excellent performance even during gaming. The cameras deliver excellent photo quality with realistic colors, and the main camera performs well without the need for third-party apps. The build quality feels premium, and the device is fully protected from moisture and dust. Oxygen OS provides a smooth and stable interface, free from unnecessary bloatware. However, users should be aware of potential firmware update issues with unofficial software and some app speed issues. Despite these minor drawbacks, the OnePlus 13 offers a well-balanced combination of features, making it a compelling choice for consumers seeking a high-performance smartphone.
Pros
Cons
Very good value for money. Bought 2 pcs. White and blue (eco-leather) - the blue one is just awesome!!! The smartphone has a top processor, top screen, mega top vibration motor, water resistance, cameras, sound - the smartphone is very well-balanced! Screen - 2k, 120Hz LTPO (from 1 to 120Hz), Screen - ability to enable smartphone use with gloves, Screen - can be used with wet hands or in the rain with a wet screen as usual!!! Performance - top-of-the-line processor and top-of-the-line memory, the phone doesn't heat up much during gaming, Battery life - 6000mAh battery lasts about 11 hours of screen time under average load on the smartphone + there is fast charging at 100W, charge from 0 to 100% - 35 minutes, Cameras - the main camera is very good, takes amazing photos, the telephoto lens is not the best, but under good lighting, it takes excellent photos at 30x and even 50x zoom, beyond that AI algorithms kick in and start enhancing, Vibration - one of the best, if not the best on the market, Sound - not TOP, but close, sounds good from speakers, and very good from headphones, Interface - Oxygen OS - very smooth and stable interface, not overloaded with unnecessary bloatware + equipped with various AI features, Water Resistance - smartphone is fully protected from moisture and dust, as well as water jets up to 80 degrees Celsius, Connectivity - very good connectivity, where Xiaomi 13 loses connection - this one maintains 1 - 2 bars of signal, similar to other modules like wi-fi, with gigabit internet and a good router speed of 950Mbps!!! Macro photography on the camera - it's not bad, but clearly not the best, and that's because the telephoto lens lacks a floating element, so all the macro shots are taken with a wide-angle lens. |
The phone is worth its money. Super screen, great camera, loud stereo. IR port (as strange as it may sound in 2025. I live in a rented apartment, all the remotes are broken. There is an option to turn on the TV, air conditioner, console, fan.). Dropped several times, but with no consequences. HEATS UP A LOT. Charges and heats up, screen on for long - heats up, video calling - heats up. And when it heats up, the battery drains very quickly. Doesn't feel like high capacity. |
I wanted a OnePlus since the 5T model, but was held back by doubts. Here is a review option for the site, created based on your impressions: User Review: My OnePlus Experience (Chinese Version with OxygenOS) after choosing between the S24 Ultra and Pixel 9 XL For a long time, I was choosing a new flagship, considering the S24 Ultra and Pixel 9 XL. However, I always wanted to try the OnePlus ecosystem, especially the OxygenOS firmware. Weighing all the pros and cons, and after watching bloggers' tests where this model (likely, OnePlus 12, judging by the description) showed itself as very successful in terms of battery life and a camera that rivals and sometimes surpasses the Pixel and iPhone 15 Pro Max in photo quality, I decided to take the risk. I chose the Chinese version, re-flashed with OxygenOS. The main argument was the price - $250 cheaper than the global version, and the inclusion of a native 100 Watt charger in the package, which is an additional saving (around $40-50). Conclusion: For its price of $625 (in my case, considering the Chinese version and configuration), getting such top hardware, incredible battery life, super-fast charging, and a flagship-level camera is a good deal. It's a premium brand from a big corporation, and its hardware is 12 out of 10. The software issues encountered are a direct consequence of using unofficial firmware on a device that is not intended for it. This is the compromise one makes for the sake of savings. I will probably try to take the phone for a professional firmware update or return to the original. Price/Quality/Configuration Ratio: For a price around $625, this is simply an unmatched option on the market. Build Quality: The device feels premium and well-made. Display: A super convenient and high-quality screen with slight curvature at the edges. Autonomy: The battery lasts for 2 days with adaptive refresh rate and display resolution, providing about 8 hours of active screen time. Charging Speed: Charging to 40% in 10 minutes is incredible and radically changes the user experience. Camera: This deserves a separate mention. The cameras capture very well with "steady hands," without excessive "color enhancement" like Samsung, and without unnecessary oversharpening. Numerous settings allow achieving the desired result. It's impressive that even Google Camera mods aren't needed—the native camera app performs better. The colors in the photos match reality. Sound Quality: Speakers deliver excellent sound. Lack of firmware updates: Installed unofficial or modified firmware does not receive official OTA updates. Speed issues in certain apps: Although NFC works and the lock is removed (which is important), some services, including certain banking apps, Spotify settings, or updates on Play Market, open or operate very slowly (up to a minute). It feels as if they are working through VPN or have issues with regional binding. Overall system super fast: It's important to emphasize that this "bug" only concerns a few specific areas. In other scenarios, the phone operates lightning fast, like an "F-35". |
