Cordless drill-driver with an impact mechanism designed for drilling and fastening work. At the first gear speed (500 rpm), it can drive screws up to M6 and screws with dimensions up to 6x75 mm. At the second speed (1900 rpm), the Makita DHP490Z drill-driver can create holes in wood (up to ⌀38 mm using a round drill bit and up to ⌀51 mm with a hole saw), metal (up to ⌀13 mm), or brickwork (up to ⌀13 mm in impact mode).

The tool is equipped with an efficient brushless motor with an electronic brake for quick stop of the chuck and an overload protection system. The tightening force is adjustable with a 20-step clutch (maximum torque of 65 Nm). The quick-release chuck allows for fast removal and installation of attachments (round shank drill bits up to ⌀13 mm or hex bits). Under the chuck, there is an LED light built into the body to illuminate the work area.

This configuration of the tool is supplied without a battery and charger. The drill driver requires a Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion battery for power. The Makita DHP490Z stands out for its efficiency, enhanced by a top-notch brushless motor. It offers remarkable versatility in drilling and fastening tasks with adjustable torque and speeds.
