At the same time, the Makita DF457DWE drill driver can make holes in wood with a dia...meter of up to 36 mm (valid for soft rocks), and in ordinary structural steels — up to 13 mm. There is an effective engine brake. Despite a decent weight (1700 g with attached battery), the model is well balanced and, thanks to the rubberized ergonomic handle, it fits comfortably in the hand. Comfortable to hold in hands, well balanced weight distribution. I liked the handle, it sits firmly in the hand and is rubberized well. There is also a layer of rubber-like coating on the back of the case, exactly in the place where you sometimes have to rest your second hand. So the design is well thought out, there is simply nothing to complain about, even if you want to. It has two speed modes: the first is up to 400 rpm, the second is designed for drilling and spins the chuck up to 1300 rpm. The chuck can accept drills from 1.5mm to 13mm and drills quite cheerfully at any size. The powerful torque allowed the screwdriver to turn holes in the 3 mm St5 without any problems, and 14 such holes were made in a row. Unless there was a slight heating. In the mode of tightening fasteners, a clutch that regulates the force on the tool is very useful. The choice of positions is rich, there are 16 of them in total. It comes in a cool plastic case which, unlike many other brands, has solid walls and looks really good. The set includes two batteries 18V / 1.3 Ah and a proprietary charger capable of returning a discharged battery in about one hour. Well, since it is really difficult to discharge the battery in an hour of work, the screwdriver does not threaten to be left without power.
