How to choose an air conditionerThe main criteria to consider when choosing an air conditioner

What is the difference between a cheap air conditioner and an expensive one?Is it worth paying more when buying an air conditioner? Let's take a look at the pros and cons.
Model overview based on user reviews
The LEBERG Thor LBS/LBU-TOR09 is a budget-friendly inverter air conditioner that offers efficient cooling and heating for spaces up to 26 m². Users appreciate its energy-saving capabilities and the ability to operate in temperatures as low as -15°C. The model is equipped with features like a timer, auto restart, and self-diagnosis, making it convenient to use. However, some users have noted that both the indoor and outdoor units can be noisy, which might be disruptive in sleeping areas. The design is minimalistic, and while the build quality is satisfactory, the service experience has been mixed, with some users facing challenges in getting issues resolved. Overall, it is considered a good option for those seeking an affordable inverter air conditioner with decent performance.

i bought it for heating the office. It was -24°C on the night of Epiphany. It ran for two nights at that temperature and survived. I consulted with specialists, and the most important thing is not to turn it off. When operating, the compressor stays warm, and it will continue to work since it has protection that prevents the compressor from being damaged. If you turn it off, it might not start again when it's very cold, as it will activate the protection mode. Additionally, when installing, the line should be at least 3 meters long to prevent hydraulic shock. Installers know this (if they are competent). There's no defrost for the tray and no compressor crankcase heating, but that was expected since it's operational to -15°C and lacks such features. You will sometimes need to defrost it manually with a heat gun, fortunately, it's on the first floor, so it's not too complicated. I also noticed that it changes the airflow speed of the outdoor unit, most likely it’s a full inverter, but that's not certain. I'm satisfied with the air conditioner. I got it on discount, and the declared power matches its performance, which is very pleasing. Many budget inverters have manufacturers that overstate the power, set a good price, but in reality, people buy the model and later find out that it's weaker and insufficient. That's not the case here. I can recommend it. I have a 12 BTU, and it draws 1.2 kW at maximum from the grid, for those interested. operates for heating at -24, tested, matches the stated power. design for an enthusiast, Rechi compressor (budget), not the quietest outdoor and indoor unit. |
When I bought my first air conditioner five years ago, the difference in price between inverter and non-inverter models was much more significant and I had to limit myself to a conventional unit. And now this border has blurred so much that you can buy a full-fledged inverter air conditioner for literally 300 bucks! Well, okay, for $310. But this does not change the essence of the matter. If ten years ago inverters were made only by selected manufacturers (as a rule, they were Japanese concerns), now the Chinese have adopted this technology, which greatly reduced prices. Don't be put off by the European name; it's a hundred percent Chinese product. Sellers might enjoy telling stories about a Norwegian company and meticulous Scandinavian engineers, but I trust enterprising Chinese more. The guys came to Europe, established a company, registered a trademark, and successfully make large sales of household appliances that are very cheap by European standards. Isn't that a "success story"? )) But, unlike complete no-names and one-day brands, this company and trademark have been around for a while and are slowly transitioning from the "cheap and very aggressive" category to "inexpensive but more or less reliable." The fact that they have begun offering a two-year warranty on air conditioners is already significant progress. This particular air conditioner was installed in a 15-square meter room with high three-meter ceilings. It performs excellently. It cools intensely, quickly reaches the desired temperature, and then reduces fan speed and quietly operates in temperature maintenance mode. You can easily sleep at night with it; it does not interfere. It's energy-efficient. A short power cord, and I don’t understand why it’s such a short length at all. Anyway, to change it or completely remove it, so we would save on this. At first, at night, the bright LED backlight on the front panel and its complete absence on the remote control screen annoyed me. |
Overall, so far so good, I don’t regret buying it. a budget inverter with good build quality, the first two months showed itself to be excellent - the power is good and the cooling speed is good, it does not make noise during operation, it has all the necessary functions, a very convenient remote control and the adjustment of the air flow direction is very good. i don't see much. use LEBERG Thor LBS/LBU-TOR07 month or more i recommend it should buy |
