Fast. Good write/read speed. Available DRAM module. 3D TLC NAND flash memory. High TBW endurance. Without a quality radiator, it may overheat. Slightly inferior to top competitors in terms of recording. Slightly worse energy efficiency. |
don't even consider it without purchasing a radiator. -Read and write speeds are higher than those of the reviewers, provided that they tested an empty SSD, while mine is 82% full (931GB). -temperature without radiator. |
There is no DRAM buffer, although the e-catalogue says there is one. When using a Windows 10 Pro system and simultaneously installing games on the same SSD, there were problems during the stream: the entire system slows down (desktop, browser, video player, etc.), the stream itself slows down, but the game runs fine without any brakes. The problem went away when installing the Windows system on another SSD, a regular SATA one. My PC is top build: i7 14700k, 32 GB DDR5, MSI Z790 Tomahawk, RTX 3060Ti GDDR6X. High speed. No DRAM buffer |

176-layer Micron Flash Memory
Kingston FURY Renegade is one of the fastest SSDs in recent years, capable of fully unlocking the potential of the PCI-E 4.0 interface at a relatively affordable price. The drive is based on the proven Kingston KC3000 architecture but with an improved caching system, enhanced speed, and more reliable 176-layer flash memory. Additionally, the write endurance has been increased to 1000 TB, making it particularly attractive for users who actively work with content.
Phison E18 with DRAM Buffer
The performance is driven by the Phison E18 controller, providing sequential read and write speeds of up to 7300 and 6000 MB/s, respectively, and up to 1 million IOPS. As already noted, this is one of the fastest NVMe drives on the market, second only to PCI-E 5.0 solutions, which are currently aimed at enthusiasts. It will be an excellent choice for owners of powerful gaming PCs who do not want to limit system performance with slow storage. Moreover, the drive is fully compatible with the PlayStation 5, meeting all of the console's requirements.
Compact Low-Profile Heatsink
The Kingston FURY Renegade SFYRSK is equipped with a low-profile heatsink made of graphene and aluminum, which not only gives the device a stylish appearance but also effectively dissipates heat. Under real-world conditions, temperatures remain within acceptable limits, and in stress tests, they can briefly reach 85°C, but without critical overheating or performance loss.

Read (MB/s):
SEQ1M Q8T1 = 7051.45
SEQ1M Q1T1 = 4506.30
RND4K Q3T1 = 1152.94
RND4K Q1T1 = 91.27
Write (MB/s):
SEQ1M Q8T1 = 6122.80
SEQ1M Q1T1 = 5752.71
RND4K Q3T1 = 853.90
RND4K Q1T1 = 335.33
I got it without a heatsink, using the native one on the motherboard. During intensive work, it heats up to around 30 degrees. It has a DRAM module, which allows for almost instant system and program loading. A quality Phison PS5018-E18 controller, on par with the Samsung Elpis controller in the 980 Pro. Similar to the Seagate FireCuda 530. 3D TLC NAND flash memory - a balance between speed and durability. More resistant to write cycles compared to QLC NAND in budget models. Good TBW and MTBF, indicating good reliability and longevity. Overall, I am satisfied with the choice of SSD.
