Model overview based on user reviews
The Kingston Fury Renegade SSD is highly regarded for its exceptional speed and performance, making it one of the fastest PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs in its price segment. Users appreciate its high read/write speeds, with test results showing impressive figures, and its use of 3D TLC NAND flash memory, which offers a balance between speed and durability. However, it is noted that without a quality radiator, the SSD may overheat, and its energy efficiency is slightly below top competitors. Some users experienced issues with system slowdowns when multitasking, but these were resolved by using a separate SSD for the operating system. Overall, the Kingston Fury Renegade is praised for its reliability and longevity, with a recommendation to use a heatsink for optimal performance.

RND4K Q3T1 = 853.90
RND4K Q1T1 = 335.33

I got it without a heatsink, using the native one on the motherboard. During intensive work, it heats up to around 30 degrees. It has a DRAM module, which allows for almost instant system and program loading. A quality Phison PS5018-E18 controller, on par with the Samsung Elpis controller in the 980 Pro. Similar to the Seagate FireCuda 530. 3D TLC NAND flash memory - a balance between speed and durability. More resistant to write cycles compared to QLC NAND in budget models. Good TBW and MTBF, indicating good reliability and longevity. Overall, I am satisfied with the choice of SSD.
Fast. Good write/read speed. Available DRAM module. 3D TLC NAND flash memory. High TBW endurance.
Without a quality radiator, it may overheat. Slightly inferior to top competitors in terms of recording. Slightly worse energy efficiency.

normal model, nothing special

There is no DRAM buffer, although the e-catalogue says there is one. When using a Windows 10 Pro system and simultaneously installing games on the same SSD, there were problems during the stream: the entire system slows down (desktop, browser, video player, etc.), the stream itself slows down, but the game runs fine without any brakes. The problem went away when installing the Windows system on another SSD, a regular SATA one. My PC is top build: i7 14700k, 32 GB DDR5, MSI Z790 Tomahawk, RTX 3060Ti GDDR6X.
High speed.
No DRAM buffer

Poor cooling, get a heatsink for it, either from the motherboard or separately.

don't even consider it without purchasing a radiator.
-Read and write speeds are higher than those of the reviewers, provided that they tested an empty SSD, while mine is 82% full (931GB).
-temperature without radiator.

Fury

At the end of 2021, one of the leading players in the memory market, the American company Kingston, has updated its solid state drive lineup by introducing 2 completely new lines of SSD drives. The KC3000 models are designed for workstation owners and are designed for heavy tasks like 3D rendering, while the FURY Renegade SSDs are designed with gamers and next-generation games in mind with hi-res textures and seamless open worlds. It is about Renegade that we will talk about.

One of the fastest gaming drives of this generation

Thanks to the use of the new PCI-E 4.0 interface and the Phison E18 controller specially designed for it, the drive from Kingston makes the most of the provided technical capabilities. It provides data exchange at speeds up to 7300 MB / s for linear read operations and up to 6000 MB / s for writes. It is also capable of performing up to 1,000,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS). Without too much modesty, this is one of the fastest solid-state drives in our memory. For example, the test Fury Renegade loaded the first level in the famously slow Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 9.6 seconds. For comparison, the reference Samsung Evo 980 Pro took 12.4 seconds, while the average NVMe typically takes 20 to 25 seconds to load.

Low profile graphene-aluminium heatsink

Fury Renegade's signature feature is the not-so-typical graphene-aluminium heat spreader, which made the SSD thin and low. It is worth noting that in stress tests it worked 3.5 out of 5, because. over time, the memory controller heated up to 85 °C, which is not good. However, in everyday use in game mode, this problem was not observed. And this is in the limited and not the coldest space of a gaming laptop. We are sure that Fury Renegade coped with the new generation consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X without any problems. If not, you can always buy an external radiator. It also has one of the largest overwriting resources among models in this class - 1000 TB versus a typical 700 GB.
