I used the tent for 5 years (late spring, summer, early autumn) in the conditions of the Caucasus and Northern Caucasus, in these conditions it performs excellently, withstands decent downpours, is roomy and comfortable. A significant plus for hiking is that it is quite light and compact. The arcs are fiberglass, metal and last longer, and do not suffer as much from the wind. Sophisticated ventilation system
The updated 3-person tent from the High Peak brand received a Vario Vent Control ventilation system, more modern polyurethane-coated fabric materials and additional equipment items, including a lantern loop.
If in the early versions of the Nevada 3 there was only one ventilation window in the inner tent, because of which users complained about stuffiness, now there are two of them, which, even with the entrance closed, promotes natural air circulation.
Rain protection
The High Peak Nevada 3 features a polyester outer canopy with a 3000mm water column water resistance, heat-shrink-taped seams, and impregnation against accidental fire and UV damage. The reinforced polyethylene bottom has a similar water protection index, which is significantly less than that of the tents of the main competitors. But according to user reviews, in fact, the bottom handles well with various tourist challenges, withstanding conditions of high humidity and bad weather with heavy rains.
Practical and roomy
The hemispherical sleeper in the High Peak Nevada 3 is created by a pair of 7.9 mm fibreglass arches. The total dimensions of the inner tent are 210x180 cm with a height of 1.2 metres, which will be quite enough for three average tourists. The tambour is formed with the help of an additional third arc. With a depth of 80 cm, it is characterized by a fairly large height (up to 120 cm), which allows not only placing backpacks, shoes and other things in it, but also relatively comfortable cooking in rainy weather on a gas burner.
The area that the unfolded tent will occupy does not exceed 5.5 square metres (3x1.8 m), and the weight in the complete cover is 3.7 kg. For comparison, the popular 2-seater Alexika Rondo Plus weighs the same.
High Peak Nevada 3 is a moderately light and compact, high-quality tent that can be recommended for use by tourists from mid-spring to the end of September.
