A mid-range computer unit with support for the ATX 12V v2.4 standard, modern circuitry and high-quality components. It is the middle model of the P-Series family of 2020, whose products can deliver power from 450 to 10050 watts. The manufacturer positions it as a mid-price product designed to power moderately productive gaming systems equipped with Ryzen 7/Core i7 processors and pre-top models of video cards from Radeon and NVIDIA.
It is capable of providing energy to a PC consuming up to 750 watts. Designed for operation in a wide range of input voltages (from 100 to 240 watts). High stability of the output voltages of the Gigabyte P750GM power supply is ensured by progressive circuitry with highly reliable Japanese capacitors with a temperature rating of 105 ° C. This arrangement allows you to deliver up to 732 watts of power along the + 12V line.
It is important that the efficiency at 50% load reaches an impressive 90%, which corresponds to the 80 Plus Gold level. For effective cooling, a standard 120 mm fan is used, equipped with a quiet and durable hydrodynamic bearing. Fully modular wiring allows you to not limit yourself in cable management, using only the necessary cables. The manufacturer claims support for all major protection systems, including protection against overvoltage, excess current and short circuit. The official manufacturer's warranty is 3 years.

I bought the PSU in November 2020, version P750GM. I got it for a system with an R7 5800X and an RTX 3080. 1. Handles the system. 2. The fan is very quiet. I thought it wasn't working, but placing my hand by the rear of the unit while gaming confirmed everything was fine. Even if it was loud, against the backdrop of the 3080 running at full speed and the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler, it still wouldn’t be heard. I don’t hear any other extra noises or crackling. 3. Rich set of cables. The cables themselves are thin, long enough, and flexible enough to be routed through the Cooler Master MB510L case as I wanted. 4. The unit is quite heavy. And as Boris the Blade said, "Heavy is reliable." translation: 1. For 2-3 weeks, there was a persistent "new" item smell from the unit. This was also during use in the old system with an i7 2600K and GTX 1066. Now, there has been no smell for a long time (surely the corona couldn't last more than half a year?). |
The budget novelty of 2020 from GIGABYTE, introduced in June, I really liked it among budget options. I was choosing for a long time between Chieftec Proton, Be quiet System Power 9, or Gigabyte P-Series 2020 but eventually settled on GIGABYTE. Chieftec and Be quiet have been on the market since 2017-2018 and have gathered a lot of reviews over this period, some say the fan is noisy and others that the capacitors crack, etc. I have doubts about this, and I think all models are good. But I decided to try something new, and besides, this one is a bit cheaper)) and you don't need much for assembling a work machine. Somehow this PSU is excellent for me. Nothing is noisy or cracking, genuinely quiet. The cables are black flat and very long, suitable for any case. For assembling a 10100+GTX 1660 SUPER, you can safely take it. quiet not detected |
Normal power supply unit, holds the load steadily, really liked the fan-stop function, very quiet. BUT, very important information: if you connect it to an extension cord (or just a socket) without grounding, there is a constant noise (crackling-rustling) during operation. Quiet operation Unattractive and unruly wires included in the package. |

The Taiwanese giant Gigabyte has long and firmly occupied an important role in the market of motherboards and video cards, but not power supplies. Released in 2020, the Gigabyte P-Series 2020 model shattered this stereotype, showing that Gigabyte has jacks of all trades.
P-Series 2020 is a modern modular power supply at the junction of different price categories, which Gigabyte released after the successful launch of the Aorus series PSU. The P-Series doesn't cost that much for its specs, is 90% efficient, and overall is one of the most affordable options with 750W headroom, 80+ Gold certification, and Japanese capacitors under the hood. A similar set of characteristics makes it a dangerous competitor for the popular Chieftec Proton and Be quiet System Power 9 power supplies.
The beauty of this model lies in the thoughtful economy. Gigabyte has prioritized well, using Japanese electrolytes, Japanese capacitors, and robust solid-state solutions. As a result, a high quality of the output voltage is combined with a low level of ripple, minimal drawdowns and generally stable operation. On the main 12-volt line, the P-Series 2020 is capable of delivering 732 watts, that is, 99.7% of the nominal value. Plus, a hydraulic bearing spinner is quieter than a conventional hub and is more likely to last longer.
