Model DCD701N comes without battery, charger and case, while model DCD701D2 comes with two batteries (2 Ah), charger and case
Powerful and lightweight pistol drill/driver with high maximum torque and progressive brushless motor. Belongs to the class of professional power tools designed to perform significant volumes of assembly and disassembly, construction and repair work. The DeWALT DCD701D2 drill driver is equipped with a reinforced metal planetary gear and a powerful brushless electric motor. Such a drive is characterized by high energy efficiency and excellent overload resistance, which is important for intensive use.
An electronic regulation of the rotation speed of the cartridge is provided, which is implemented with a sensor for pressing the trigger button of the switch. The dual-mode gearbox provides two operating speed ranges. The first one (up to 425 rpm) is used for tightening and unscrewing screws, self-tapping screws and other fasteners. At the same time, the tool can develop an impressive maximum force of up to 57 Nm.
The second speed (up to 1500 rpm) is suitable for fast drilling in wood, structural steels, non-ferrous metals and their alloys, polymers and polymer composite materials. An electric engine brake, a convenient reverse switch and LED illumination of the work area are provided. The tool is equipped with two 12V XR Li-lon 2Ah rechargeable batteries, a proprietary charger and a TStak system case.

I spent a lot of time choosing based on reviews and testimonials. I settled on this small yet very powerful screwdriver. In drilling mode, it's simply impossible to hold the chuck by hand.
