Model overview based on user reviews
The Defender Venom GM-640L is a budget-friendly gaming mouse, praised for its pleasant surface texture and beautiful multi-color lighting. It offers a range of DPI settings from 1200 to 3200, making it versatile for different gaming needs. However, it lacks built-in memory for saving settings, requiring the manufacturer's software to be run each time. Users noted the flimsy side buttons and a standard polling rate of 125 Hz, which may not satisfy competitive gamers due to its slower response time. Despite these drawbacks, it is considered a reliable option for those seeking an affordable alternative, especially for fans of Bloody mice. The mouse is large, potentially more suitable for a palm grip, but some users find vertical movements challenging. Overall, it is a decent choice for casual gaming with some limitations in competitive scenarios.
Pros
Cons
After Bloody's mice were blocked in the game Rust, he had to look for a replacement. I settled on this sample. 1. Price. Bought for 416 rubles in a local store. 2. Pleasant to the touch mouse surface. 3. Beautiful shimmering lighting. 4. No creaking or loose fixed parts. The construction looks reliable. 5. For the first 2 days, the mouse emitted a not very pleasant smell of Chinese plastic, then it disappeared completely. 1. During detailed mouse customization through the manufacturer's software, an unpleasant feature was discovered. The mouse lacks its own memory to save all the settings onto the mouse itself, so the manufacturer's software needs to be run every time, even though the store's website stated that the mouse has 64Kb of its own memory. Apparently, the memory is volatile. 2. The mouse continues to emit a beautiful glow even when the computer is turned off, beautifully illuminating the entire room at night. 3. The side buttons on the left side of the mouse are very flimsy. 4. It is not possible to assign a specific keyboard button to the side buttons like on Bloody. |
Large even for large hands. Finger grip is uncomfortable. Apparently suitable for a palm grip, but vertical movements are difficult Looks great. Lots of settings in the software (download on the website) polling rate standard - 125 Hz, meaning a response time of 8 ms, and no tricks can increase the frequency. For a GAMING mouse, this is unacceptable! And this is its biggest drawback. Meaning you're toast in shooters. The automatic fire button is located on the top right. Fortunately, it can be disabled through the software. The side buttons on the left side are awkward and unpleasantly flimsy to the touch. |
