I have used Windows my whole life, and this was my first Mac. I chose for a long time, considering different years and nuances, and settled on this one. I primarily chose this laptop for standard office work, meetings, basic programs, design, and development, and this laptop made me fall in love with Apple technology. I have 4 different computers, including this one, but the others are on Windows, and I, damn, already fumble when I start using other devices, even though one of them is 7 times more expensive. i’ve been using it for 3-4 years, as for me it’s normal in everyday life, but if the conversation turns to games, oh the cons - 1) the Mac starts to make a lot of noise + gets very hot 2) the max settings don’t work, that is, either play at the minimum settings of 120 fps or suffer at the maximum settings with 15 fps3) there is very little memory, that is, if for example I want to play the same CS or oh my god Dota, but if I download everything together, then all the memory is gonepluses+1) and some games like undertale (not very demanding) the Mac can handle 2) I don’t know if this can be considered a plus for games, but the keys rarely stick and that’s probably all (well, only for games) in the comments in comment |

2) The display has become slightly better than on my previous Pro mid 2014. The first thing to note is the anti-glare coating. It absorbs glare much more effectively than the mentioned Macbook Pro mid2014. The maximum screen brightness has noticeably increased. The black and white colors are more "true."
3) The keyboard with the "butterfly" mechanism is very cool. Incredibly pleasant tactile sensations when pressing each key. There are two drawbacks: terribly inconvenient up and down arrow keys, and the keyboard is quite loud.
4) The trackpad is excellent, as in previous Pro models, but now it is also very large (1.75 credit cards in length x 1 credit card in height).
5) In terms of performance - above all praise. Processor with 4Mb L3 cache and Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz. 8Gb RAM at 2133MHz frequency (but LPDDR3 standard, not DDR4, alas). The SSD is incredibly fast - 1300MB/sec / 2200MB/sec write and read speeds respectively.
6) The version without Touch Bar contains a 5% more capacious battery, so in terms of battery life, it will be better than the version with the Touch Bar. Besides, the Touch Bar is a beautiful toy and nothing more, its practical value is very questionable.
7) In terms of energy efficiency: 7 hours of surfing in Safari, about the same for watching movies in QuickTime.
8) The sound of this laptop's speakers is excellent! There is a lively juicy bass (in laptop speakers, Karl!)
9) The laptop is thin and light: 1.37kg versus 1.6kg on the Macbook Pro mid2014.
