the unit is cut down to the point of being unrecognizable, lacking a basic 230V network "noise" filtering scheme. Instead, there are jumpers and a varistor on the board for backup (will protect against a single surge increase). The cooling system lacks a speed regulation circuit based on a thermistor; the fan always runs at maximum speed, creating noise similar to a vacuum cleaner. two high-voltage capacitors "MKX" at 200V 650MF (need to measure for compliance) Cooling fan from a good company (i.e., AeroCool makes only good fans) noise from the 230v network that has not been corrected through the filtering circuit from the film capacitor choke and the second choke enters the circuit with high bursts of capacitors, while the capacitors work for wear, the noise somehow gets onto your computer in some form and can cause premature wear of the capacitors on the motherboard swelling boiling rupture use Aerocool VX-500 more than year |

Cryptocurrency mining
Modern gaming computers are pushing for the purchase of a single, but powerful graphics card. Bundles of several video cards give a relatively small increase in frame rate, and some games are not supported at all. At the same time, another wave of popularity of cryptocurrency mining (this time not Bitcoin, but Ethereum) revived the former interest in bundles of four AMD CrossFireX video cards (NVIDIA solutions are poorly suited for mining). And they require a truly powerful power supply, such as the Aerocool VX-800.
Savings on everything
The VX power supply series is the youngest in the Aerocool range. The appearance of these PSUs is extremely simple: there is not even a fabric braid of the 20 + 4-pin cable, which is why individual wiring is easily tangled. They also saved on the fan, it is unnecessarily noisy. But the circuitry is solid - the time-tested Andyson brand.
Four graphics cards
But the VX-800 still has the main thing: a +12 V line with a power of 744 W and four 8-pin connectors for video cards. This is just enough to power a computer with four Radeon RX 470 or 570, namely these two video cards are now most often used for mining. As a result, Aerocool VX-800 turned out to be a very narrow-purpose solution. For a gaming PC, it is better to look for a less powerful, but quieter and more energy efficient model.
