Model overview based on user reviews
The Zanussi Smalto water heater is praised for its compact design and efficient heating capabilities. Users appreciate its space-saving layout, which appears less bulky compared to traditional cylindrical models. It features two power settings, 1200 and 2000 watts, allowing for faster heating when needed, reducing waiting time by about 40%. An important safety feature is the built-in RCD, which protects against current leaks. The product comes with a two-year official warranty. However, some users note a slight noise when both heating elements are in use, similar to an electric kettle. Overall, the Zanussi Smalto is considered a reliable choice, especially for those experiencing frequent hot water supply interruptions.

Electric boiler with a convenient design and fast heating
28 June 2017
Since our city's municipal services traditionally leave residents without hot water supply during the summer, I can't imagine life without a water heater anymore. Electricity prices are indeed biting now, but if you compare them with the price of hot water, the figures are comparable, if not cheaper. Our old Ariston electric storage boiler lasted 13 years, but it was time for a replacement, and there was a serious reason for that. During the last service and cleaning, the plumber said the tank inside was actively rusting and showed the rust in the sludge that was cleaned out of the electric boiler. According to him, once the process starts, it can't be stopped, and the water heater doesn't have much time left. So I decided to pull a "trick up my sleeve." I sold the old one for cheap, and instead bought a new one of the same model.
I really liked its layout. Compared to the old cylindrical one, it takes up much less space; to be precise, it looks less bulky and doesn't loom over. Another important and pleasant feature is its power. The old water heater had a heating element of only 1200 watts and it took a long time to heat up. This one, however, has two power settings: 1200 and 2000 watts. So, if all the hot water is used up and I need to quickly heat new water, I just switch the heating to the second setting, and the waiting time is reduced by about 40%. Another important feature, which we didn't have before, is the built-in RCD (Residual Current Device). It protects against current leaks that can occur in heating elements and will shut off the water heater if they become dangerous for people. Two-year official warranty.
When using both heating elements, there is a slight noise resembling the sound of an electric kettle heating up. This sound can only be heard in the bathroom or in the kitchen if the bathroom door is slightly open.
