Model overview based on user reviews
The Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S G012 tires are praised for their ability to handle various terrains, offering a smooth ride over asphalt cracks and dirt roads. They are particularly appreciated for their durability, with users reporting minimal wear even after extensive use. These tires excel in off-road conditions, making them ideal for activities like hunting and fishing, and they perform well in sand and mud. However, they are not suitable for icy conditions, as they struggle with traction and braking. Some users note that the tires can be noisy on gravel and that small stones can get stuck in the tread. While they provide excellent handling at moderate speeds, they are not designed for high-speed driving, as they can cause the vehicle to skid. Overall, the Geolandar A/T-S G012 is a reliable choice for those seeking a tire that balances on-road comfort with off-road capability, though they are not recommended for winter use without all-wheel drive.

In short, this is very good rubber - reliable, high-quality. It can be used until late autumn, but not in winter. Whether on the highway or off-road, the car rides quietly and confidently. However, it's better not to speed over 150 km/h, as it starts to skid slightly. An ideal option for fans of a relaxed drive. It's a bit noisy, but only with the windows open. And even then, not too bad. On these tires, when driving over transverse asphalt cracks, you don't even notice them. And, to be honest, all road imperfections somehow fade away. Previously, when driving on asphalt with stones, each stone would cause vibrations inside the cabin. Now the car rides so smoothly that none of that is felt. Even dirt roads are no longer intimidating, neither puddles, grass, nor sand are a concern. In its price segment, it is one of the best options. You can't really speed on these tires. Also, these are not all-season tires, so don't even try. Additionally, small stones periodically get stuck in the tread because of this rubber, and over time they start to actively tap. ![]() |
operated the Mitsu Outlander year-round (summer/winter/summer), 1.5 years. Installed at 241,000 km, sold it along with the car at 331,000 km. Mileage - 90,000 km, more than half of which were constant all-weather business trips to any settlements in Ukraine. I didn't particularly spare the tires, or the car - from point A to point B in the shortest possible time. Wear - of course, but somehow it wasn't noticeable, there was one bulge on the left front from hitting a pothole - the rim cracked. Moved it to the rear, replaced the rim with a spare. Before these tires, I operated the car on purely summer (also Yokohama) + pure winter (Nokian). -good A/T tires; -the off-road capability of the car compared to regular highway tires increases significantly - both in winter and summer; -excellent durability, no bulges or cuts -in both winter and summer, it significantly loses to purely seasonal options on the road - but only at high-speed driving. Engage your brain and drive carefully. Where it used to be 140-150, drive 100-110 and everything is tip-top. - much "noisier" than seasonal highway tires. - in winter, it can only be used on "smart" all-wheel drives + driving experience + caution: once I skidded on an icy section of a packed snow road at 120 km/h (you can't see that ice beforehand) - it swerved side to side - 8! times! until it straightened out (( felt like being born again. The driver behind showed my pirouettes on his dash cam - only saved because oncoming drivers noticed and slowed down in advance. On regular all-wheel or dependent drives or single drives, such tires won't work 100% in winter IMO. use Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S G012 month or more i recommend it should buy |
Great tires for an active lifestyle and leisure, provided there's a good alternative for winter. I've been driving a T-4 on these tires for five years. This is already my second set. The first set lasted about 75,000 kilometers. During this time on our roads, not a single bulge (although we welded cracks in the rims twice), only three punctures (it doesn't pick up nails), and yet the tires are soft. It's perfect for off-road hunting, fishing – exactly what you need. It doesn't sink into sand. It absorbs small asphalt potholes very softly. It grips the wet road well. It digs through snow excellently thanks to its wide and deep grooves. In icy conditions, it's practically useless. When braking, the speed almost doesn't change (verified from personal experience at my own expense). A bit noisy on asphalt with large gravel. use Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S G012 month or more i recommend it should buy |
