Model overview based on user reviews
The Wilo Star-RS 25/4 circulation pump is highly regarded for its silent operation and reliability, making it a preferred choice for heating systems. Users appreciate its German build quality, noting that it operates quietly and efficiently, with adjustable speeds to suit different heating needs. The pump is praised for its resistance to voltage fluctuations, ensuring stable performance even in areas with inconsistent power supply. While some users mention a slight noise after extended use, the pump's overall durability and performance outweigh this minor issue. The ease of installation and the inclusion of necessary components like seals and instructions are additional benefits. Although the price is higher compared to some alternatives, many users believe the investment is justified by the pump's long lifespan and consistent performance. Overall, the Wilo Star-RS 25/4 is seen as a reliable and efficient choice for domestic heating systems.

Solid German circulation pump, which is worth the money that they ask for it. Works silently, long and reliably. It operates completely silently, you set it up and forget about it. I remembered about the pump for the first time only when, due to a minor battery malfunction, the house cooled down for the first time. Before that, there was no noise from it at all. You can adjust the speed of operation depending on the temperature in the apartment. It adjusts smoothly and conveniently, I rarely switch it to maximum power, the first two speeds are usually enough. It does not fail due to voltage fluctuations. Even if the voltage in the network fluctuates to the point where the computer shuts down and the lights noticeably flicker, the pump continues to work. Good price-quality ratio. There is no hotel switch, that is, the pump shutdown system will have to be organized independently, for example, from a socket. Graphite bearings sometimes break. use Wilo Star-RS 25/2 month or more |
The old circulating pump broke down, which lasted about six or seven years. So, I had to urgently replace it. I decided to buy this particular model because I trust the manufacturer (the previous one was also Wilo brand) and it has suitable specifications. This pump is not cheap; there are a lot of cheap Chinese options on the market now, but I decided not to tempt fate and chose the German-made one instead. For now, I can say that at first glance the model is of high quality. The price, of course, is not the most attractive, but it is compensated by German quality. I think it's better to buy this pump once than to buy cheap Chinese counterparts before every heating season. The pump is compact, installation is simple thanks to the screw system. As for the work itself, there are no complaints - he copes with the tasks set without question. The manufacturer has provided three modes of operation: the difference lies only in the speed of water circulation in the heating system. In practice, it is enough to set the appropriate mode and never return to this issue. I want to note that at any speed the pump works almost completely silently. With a sufficiently powerful engine, it does not consume a lot of electricity, which is very good. The pump works great, no issues. |
I purchased a pump for installation in my country house. The technician who installed my heating assured me that in my case, a circulation pump was completely unnecessary, but it turned out to be the opposite. After all the installation work was completed, it became apparent that the system was not functioning correctly - the water in the pipes was barely moving. As a result, I had to urgently buy a pump. The system was set up in such a way that only a vertical pump would fit, and these models were scarce in the market (or too expensive). Honestly, I chose this pump only because it fit the size and could be installed vertically. To my delight, after installing it, the system worked perfectly - water circulates without any issues throughout the entire heating system (and I have quite a large house). The manufacturer included threaded connections, so there was no need for additional welding work. In my situation, there's no need to keep the pump running constantly - running the system twice a day for a few minutes is sufficient, after which the power can be turned off. The manufacturer provides three operating modes, or rather - three levels of speed rotation. Mainly, I use the pump on the second level, which is sufficient, although it also circulates water on the first. At the third speed setting (the highest one), there is an unpleasant noise. I'm not sure if the pump is directly to blame for this (it's possible this is a peculiarity of my heating system). |
